"Unfortunately, (deleted member name) was not present during the initial estimate process. The grinding of the concrete floor was necessary due to staining from old vinyl flooring and cat urine. To hide the grinding of the floor I recommended a multi-color flake system to cover the floor. The customer choose to use a 2 coat solid color. The grinder does leave some grinding marks that are unavoidable. The old concrete will absorb the coating in different rates due to the porosity. The fuel line was run along the floor from the furnace to the supply tank. I did use a small brush to outline the fuel line to make the floor look continuous. There we areas of the floor already pitted from previous floor work especially around the sump pump hole and from the concrete just being poorly installed originally. I could not repair these areas. My before and after pictures show the floor in it's original state and the finished version. Yes we discussed taking the coating up 6" on the wall. But in my recollection, the customer had decided to paint the walls with Drylock and thought the epoxy was not necessary. I always give estimates and provide all of customers with the opportunity for other estimates from local companies and provide referrals whenever possible. I am sorry (deleted member name) was not part of that process. Different parts of the country offer different rates for their work. She may be comparing my pricing to pricing in her local area."
