They could change their offering menu. They can find some way of not making me buy 500 channels that I don’t need. They could find somewhere making them more out of type than if I attempted them really poor so far and the content they deliver is crap. The on demand is pretty lousy. I don’t know what’s going on with the contract negotiations with their providers the on demand content has been deteriorating for that last 2 to 3 months. I wouldn’t recommend them.

It is slightly pricey. The quality of the service hasn’t been bad but the pricing has been terrible and the ways that they try and trick you into increasing your expenditures is really nasty. I think I caught a couple of times with that. Less deceptive marketing would help and more transparent pricing.

If you try to get help they promote and sell. If you try to change to a different program that number is available but if you need a technician you will call al lot if numbers and they will then put you on hold. You spend 2-3 hours on holding.

Verizon is very expensive, and too many advertisments. When there was a problem they tried to resolve it by phone. I just start having a problem. I have a box inside that was put in when Verizon first started on our street and it's doing this clicking. I haven't called them yet, because I know I'm going to have to wait about a week before they show up. They're not very responsive. My battery went out and I told them I need a new battery, and they said you have to buy a new battery. I said why, in case the power goes out then you wouldn't be able to call out so that is why I have another phone. They're penny pinchers right now. But a lot of people like Verizon, and a lot of people think it is a great company, so I don't know. I'm gonna find out with my box though. I'm gonna call and I'm gonna tell them, my box is clicking, making some kind of a noise, and I'd like you to come and take a look. And I can bet you right now they're gonna say, well, it's gonna cost so many dollars for our truck to come out. If it's our problem, we'll repair it, if not you got to pay so much for the trip and so much for labor and whatever they're going to do. I have the oldest box. First one on our street that started with Verizon. We are thinking of dropping them when out policy expires.

I received an email from Verizon stating that my 2 year contract would be ending soon and that they would like to offer me a great deal to renew. The deal was for a locked in rate for longer than the contract term (3 yrs). The offer included all movie channels free for 2 yrs, the DVR service free for 2 yrs and an upgrade to the top internet speed all at a rate $75 less than I was already paying. Needless to say, I signed up and renewed my contract. I can't wait to see what they offer next time.

We had a couple of issues going on, but they took care of it. The guy who came over did a very good job in trouble shooting the issues and fixing the situation. He took the time and he was very professional, he listen to what I told him and took it all into consideration, did the proper troubleshooting, found the issue and fixed it. I was very impressed.
Description of Work: I've used Verizon to do some troubleshooting and fix some problem on the phone line and fix an outage situation which was their equipment. It was for the home phone and the whole files installation.

I called them as my mother has a contract with them for cable service and she wants a TV in her bedroom so we needed to get another cable box. They have changed their policy now and they will not rent a standard definition cable box and they only now rent the high definition. If you already have a standard definition cable box you can keep it but you cannot get another one. The issue is my mother has had a stroke and some movies and shows are only available on the high definition cable box but not on the standard definition box. So this can be very confusing and frustrating for my mother. To ensure this would not happen I would have to get 3 high definition cable boxes at a charge me. I have spoken to Verizon multiple times about this situation and they are refusing to rent or allow me to buy an additional standard definition cable box. I find this to be very unreasonable and harmful to the elderly with any disabilities. My mother thought she was buying a service she could get anywhere in her house which is not the case and now if she cancels her service she will have to pay a penalty.

While Verizon Wireless currently does not support and quot;simultaneous ringand quot; which permits one to use software that blocks unwanted calls, it offered to block telemarketing numbers that repeatedly call my wireless number at no cost and enhanced my existing wireless service.

I have three phones with them. Everything is good and the speed is fine. My connectivity is always good. I like their network and the people there. Every time I've had a problem, I just call them up and they handle it quickly and resolve the problem.

Service ranged from good to excellent, until about August 2012, when service became slow to periodically nonexistent. Verizon's customer support is poor. Verizon's website makes it difficult for a customer to request assistance, and when the service is very slow or down, it is impossible to use the site. Prepare to spend at least 30 minutes on hold when calling 1-800-VERIZON. The actual technician who came to fix the problem last September was very professional, and he admitted to me that the fault is with Verizon, and that Verizon does not properly maintain its junction boxes that run from the telephone pole to the house. The box was a snarl of cut wires. He was not authorized to fix the box, but jerry-rigged a weatherproofing cover out of a piece of plastic sheeting. The service has been slow again all through December 2012 and into January 2013, prompting me to make another service call on January 2. Because I pay my monthly bill online, I did not have my account number handy, and the and quot;helperand quot; on the other line could not find my name or address, and put me on hold for 52 minutes. He also could not spell my name, after repeated attempts, confusing and quot;Wand quot; with and quot;double A.and quot; Ultimately he claimed that neither my name nor address existed in the system, when it is clearly on the bill, which has been unchanged for five years. I understand the technical problems that can plague any Internet Service Provider, but my five-year experience with Verizon shows that Verizon is not friendly to the customer, does not maintain its hardware, and makes it very difficult to request a service call. I'm finished with Verizon.

I used Verizon and quot;High Speedand quot; internet for 3 years. The internet was not high-speed by any means but it was ok for surfing (but not fast enough for streaming videos for example). Then it slowed down to the point of not being able to surf. A simple page like google.com would take 6 minutes to load, then the internet would drop-off. I called verizon 6 times in the past week, and each phone call took minimum of an hour - they would talk to you for 1 minute and put you on hold for over 20 minutes. Anyway even after all that, the internet is still not fixed. I could go on with how frustrating Verizon has been for the whole month but the bottom line is that verizon is not where you look to for high speed internet (even when it works) - at least not if you live in my area (zip: 20001).

Making sense of the distorted, contradictory and misleading online "special offers" for renewal and upgrading of bundled services was very difficult, time-consuming and aggravating. Verizon practices systematic price gouging, by pressuring customers to sign up for additional services they might not want or need. When I tried to renew the services I already had (and was satisfied with), the price went up at least 30%.I was repeatedly told that phone agents couldn't help me because the online services are in a different part of the company. I spent 3 days on the phone or with chat agents trying to find affordable service and ended up adding TV service that I didn't want, simply because that bundle seemed to be $15 cheaper than the service I was trying to renew. When I was 3/4 of the way through the order process, I discovered that I was required to rent special equipment at an additional 9.99 per month. And although the order clearly said the offer was good for 24 months at the same rate, fine print at the bottom of the page said the price would increase after 12 months. Isn't this illegal? If it isn't, it should be.Ironically, Verizon's delivery of service is pretty good. But I have to ask if it's worth the overwhelming hassle at renewal time.

They are acceptable and their services are alright. We are not unhappy so we don't have any plans to change since we are far happier with them than the previous company we had. We would like to tell others that we have saved money and their service has been reliable. We also like that nobody from the company has come to our house to try to get us to hire them on site unlike the other company we had hence we think that they are a more honest place with more honest employees.We would only rate their punctuality a little low since we needed them once immediately and they were not available immediately.

I have Verizon for a long time now. One of the features of the plan that I am on is that I change my service or my contract of every two years. I pay by mail online. I would tell others to look for cheaper plans and better customer service. They are a bit high in terms of price. I am trying to lower the expense. I am looking for another provider. I find what I want. My issue with them is the cost. The services that they provide come with a cost and due to the cost, I will be looking for another provider.

They are seamless and it works. Their price is competitive. With regard to responsiveness, if it is during natural disaster, they are probably as good as anybody else in the area; but in terms of general service they are exceptional. Their responsiveness is dependent upon natural disasters and things like that; when we had blizzards come through, they were out for a week or more. But the whole area got slammed and we can't really blame them for that. They do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it. They are essentially a public utility. I will continue to use them in the future, they have no reasonable competitor.
