Our boiler was starting to act up so we decided to seek competitive proposals to replace the unit. Clark was one of several that came to provide an estimate. The estimator, Carlos, was very thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful in my understanding what he proposed to do. After evaluating the proposals from competitors, we selected Thomas Clark to do the work. Carlos and his team arrived at the time promised and did an excellent job removing the old unit and installing a new one made by NTI. It is a pleasure to work with a true professional who was very careful throughout the process to ensure its successful completion.

I like them, I thought that they were professional and explained everything to me and i could understand him the way he spoke to me and polite. They were licensed and bonded which I really like as well.

I called Thomas E Clark to fix my A/C after it stopped working. They offered to come the day I called (Monday) evening which was great, and asked for a $104 overtime charge rate in addition to any service provided. It seemed fair and I agreed. The person came and fixed a clogged pipe quickly. When I looked at the receipt ($~450), I noticed that I was also charged for an overtime rate on the service. So overtime charge, and then additional overtime rate which turned up to be 30% more. This I was not told. Few days later, the A/C stopped working again. So I called the same company and they said they will send someone, but again are asking for an overtime charge and an overtime rate. I agreed thinking that if they will come back to fix their work they may not charge me again. The new technician said he is diagnosing a new problem, this time with the A/C unit wiring, and will have to replace the wires. He did replace them and got the A/C running again, and charged $~600 for the service. He also recommended that in the long run I should add protection to the wires and he will send me a quote. The next day, the A/C stopped working again. When I called the company, they claimed that it is because I haven't added their wire protection and it is my fault (even though this is not something that the technician said is necessary immediately and definitely did not imply that the A/C can't work for even 24 hours without). With that approach, and while I should have insisted they come and fix the problem without charging me, I decided that enough is enough and I will take the sunk cost and call another company. The other company came the same day, fixed a completely different problem and added refrigerant all for less than 400$ and A/C is working flawlessly since. Will not call them again.

I used Thomas Clark before to repair a bad install on our water heater. They were there for hours soldering and welding and refitting so we could pass Mo Co inspection. I had them the last 2 weeks for a very tricky outdoor repair of a pipe from the house under a deck to outside spigot, plus more typical tub and faucet issues. They seem a bit expensive? None of this was cheap. But I will never go to another plumber. Their work is excellent, professional, punctual, responsive, and they are super, super knowledgeable. We've had 3 different people out and they are all amazing. They are so good and fixing all the wonky stuff that's been done to old houses on the cheap. They had some drive out with needed parts from the office because they weren't on the truck so I didn't have to reschedule and it could all be done at once. They are great at troubleshooting and finding great, professional fixes. Don't bother with anyone else.

I don't like to leave negative reviews but this is warranted. The company was very responsive when we contacted them for a new water heater installation. It was not an easy job in a tight space but they got the job done in July 2017. In December, while doing other work, I learned that Clark should have arranged to pull a WSSC permit and inspection. So I contacted them and they produced they permit and I set up the inspection. It failed on multiple grounds, including failure to have a chimney liner and improper use of pvc tubing too close to the heater. I contacted Clark and they came out "fixed" the problems and informed me that the chimney liner wasn't their problem and oops, yes, it's a county requirement and had been for a long time with all new water heater installs to assure proper venting. I then contacted chimney services and Bethesda Chimney came out, looked and the "fix" and said it was still wrong and it would still fail inspection. I contacted another Master Plumber who is now coming to repair the continuing problems with the Clark install and supposed fix, including missing screws, pvc that is still too close to the heater, and too close to a heat duct that could melt the bad pipe they installed. The pipes are also at very odd, strained angles. The Master Plumber was harshly critical of the many errors in the Clark work and had assumed we'd try to go on the cheap from an unqualified outfit. This has been an expensive, and potentially dangerous mess. I cannot recommend Thomas Clark. I've insisted that they cover the cost to pull the new WSSC permit but I don't want them in my house.

Scheduling to fix a leaking bathtub faucet in my basement was a snap. Called on Wednesday afternoon and scheduled for the following morning. Two plumbers arrived within 2 hour window and completed work quickly and professionally. Explained work to be done before they began and completed the job within 20 minutes. This means that I paid $250 for 20 minutes of work - doesn't quite seem economical to me. They cleaned up well, showed me what the problem was, and caulked the tub back to how it was pre-repair. Able to pay via CC on site and got receipt immediately.

Thomas E. Clark is my plumber. Period. Always responsive, always on time, always professional and always solves the problem. I like that their techs can tell you up front what the cost will be. My family used them in the mid-60s, and I have been dealing with them for 20 years or more. They are my plumbers for life!

excellent service, though price seems quite high given the relatively brief time the plumber needed to be here. Still, if you need something done and done right, it may be worth it (it was for me).

The fancy high-velocity system works! Hooray. Thos. E. Clark not only did the full job, worked to get us what we wanted, (counseled me on how to deal with my other contractors!), and had the actual knowledge to do what other HVAC people only advertise. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful! They were very responsive and helpful from the initial phone call to the repair and replacement the next day. We did provide the faucet and disposal unit to save on cost, but the work done was professional, and the estimates we were given for two other upcoming jobs were carefully explained and thoroughly discussed. We would definitely hire them again, and will happily recommend them to anyone.
