Don, the owner, is very intentional and thoughtful about his designs. Each is uniquely tailored to the property and the objectives of the homeowner. He is as good as his word. Equally important, he "stands" behind the work. His employees are an efficient, well organized team. The final product is a thing of beauty. Before they leave, the team thoroughly cleans the worksite; their work area and beyond.

Don and his team were amazing. Don designed two patio areas in our backyard along with extensive plants and lighting. The entire project was completed in 3 weeks. His team worked hard, Don was responsive to my questions, and the finished product (new landscaping and patios) looks amazing. I now want them to do our front yard!

The landscape project was installed perfectly and within two weeks. The new lighting illuminated the frontal view of my home and yard.

This company is remarkable in its customer service and professionalism. Dealing with their owner was a refreshing change from many companies with whom I've worked. My money was well spent and the landscaping of my entire front property is exactly what I wanted, within budget and completed on schedule. With so much shoddy work out there, this company is a real cut above!

Don listened to my desires for the yard and gave excellent suggestions and recommendations demonstrating his knowledge of the profession. He made certain that we were totally satisfied with the finished product. Our yard looks absolutely beautiful including accent lights he also installed. People passing by stop frequently to look at our newly installed landscaping. We will be calling on him for further work in the future. We give Don our highest recommendation.

This contractor was good. I am sorry that I did not comment earlier. He completed the job and performed well under harsh conditions. I then was satisfied enough to go with him on a "curb appeal" job to help sell my house in Laurel, MD. He did such a good job on the curb appeal job, that I hired him to do a job on the side and back of the house. His work was not only bordering on artistic and in very good taste, but he came back and performed extra work. He is the kind of guy that you want to work with. He, as every other contractor I have worked with needs input from the customer so he can analyze your needs. Definitely above average.

Don was very helpful when I asked him what we needed to do to get rid of all the rainwater that accumulates in our backyard. His crew was very professional and got the work done in two days. Extremely nice to work with Don. He had great ideas for design and plant selection. His crew were wonderful and knew what they were doing. His stone mason was professional and a perfectionist; our walk came out just beautiful as did the landscaping. All of our neighbors have stopped to tell us how nice the yard looks and several have asked for his number. Don and his crew far exceeded our expectations.

I've had a string of bad contractor experiences that I wouldn't wish upon anybody, so I'm leery when hiring someone since it always feels like I'm falling back into the abyss. But hiring Don Thurber's Woodsblaster couldn't have been a better experience. After interviewing 5 different landscape architects, Don's suggestions for my yard's difficult drainage and grading problems ended up being not only the most intelligent, they were also the most elegant. My yard looks incredible, the paver-stone patio is beautiful, Woodsblaster's crew is excellent and their work was top notch. Don was very cool to work with and comes highly recommended.

The contractor worked with me to develop a Scope of Work on materials and timing. We worked together to bring the cost of the prject down and under budget. He was able to address all my concerns prior to commencing and worked under the constraints of a tight area with Home Owner Association Requirements. His 4-person team wokred professionally, maintained a clean work space as to not effect neighbors. The contractor knows his trade well and is very client-services oriented. The landscape/hardscape includeded wall planters, french drain, patio, walkway, and plantings. I would without a doubt recommend Woodblaster for any hardscape/landscapes.

From the onset I let it be known to Mr. Thurber that I didn't know anything about landscaping but that I wanted 'curb appeal' to attract buyers to my home. Mr. Thurber drove by on his own to view my front yard, made recommendations, offered to return the second time to 'show' me what he had in mind, lowered the overall cost by incorporating my existing plants and did an outstanding job. He and his crew were very professional, they cleaned up after themselves, and if my house doesn't sell, I will enjoy th beautiful new landscape I will get to enjoy.

Don was very prompt with his appontment. Thorough with his estimate and explained his services well. He's been around for awhile so I trust his judgement in certain areas.
