While it took some time to start the project, the work performed was acceptable. The issue I have with this firm is major. The contractor demanded payments at (1) acceptance of the proposal, (2) when the work started, (3) when the work was completed. This is not unusual.
For this project, payments (1) and (2) were sent when asked, and as I was preparing to send (3), I was told that (2) was never received. So (3) was promptly paid to include the missing (2). Over two years later the check for payment (2) was cashed and cleared my bank. So this company has been overpaid.
Repeated requests to return my money have been ignored. What I thought was an administrative oversight, might very well be mismanagement, or worse. As of today, I still do not have my money returned.
