Great...after another company recommended we replace the whole unit Mirko (a nice honest person in general) not only advised us on maintenance but also fixed the small problems that the unit had...best Angies List experience to date!

Mirko came out immediately after I requested a quote, gave me one below everyone else, and had the foresight to look at my radiators in addition to the boiler, recommending a fixing a broken valve on one. Despite adding more more work, his quote still came in below anyone else, and he was able to do the project the first day I had available. He completed it quickly, and with no mess, then managed to get an inspector out within days. I cannot say enough positive things about PCK, and intend to use them for all my future HVAC needs.

Mirko was one of three HVAC companies we met with about our system replacement. He was extremely thorough and professional and gave us a very reasonable quote. His work was great and he cut absolutely no corners. He noticed and fixed issues that I had to point out to the other potential companies. He worked very efficiently and even got the A/C working midway through the job, which was a huge help on a 95 degree day so we could be cool until he came to finish the job the next day. He made sure to get all the needed permits and scheduled the inspector for us. I highly recommend working with him, Mirko definitely takes pride in his work and does a really great job.

Outstanding service! Our AC/Heat pump stopped working suddenly a few weeks ago. After 2 service providers "tried" to fix the problem but then told us there was nothing they could do and we would need to replace both the outdoor and indoor units, we were fortunate to find PCK. Despite his very busy schedule, Mirko made time to come out on a Saturday to diagnose the problem. After thoroughly examining the system he identified several problems that were causing the shut down, repaired them and now the system is working perfectly - both heating and cooling. I wish more service providers were as professional, knowledgeable, committed and trustworthy as Mirko. He represents the very best of what a professional service provider should be. 5 Stars!

Mirko provided an honest and fair evaluation (at no cost) and an excellent quote. He told me that that my indoor AC unit was universal and would take the new freon, no other quotes had mentioned. Eventually we ordered the installation of new indoor and outdoor equipment, and a new furnace. All went smoothly, including (importantly) getting the required county permits. We are very satisfied

Excellent experience. I have never had an HVAC specialist who showed so much concern. My old A/C system died during a record-breaking heat wave on a holiday week. PCK jerryrigged a solution -- sending multiple text messages a day to make sure everything was still up and running!--until a new A/C and furnace could be installed a few days later. I would give this contractor an A+ if it was an option

We recommend Mirko to every homeowner we know in the area! We hired him to remove our ancient old gas boiler and replace it with an energy efficient gas boiler. He also replaced our hot water heater. He did a great job on both - quick, high quality work. He is clearly very knowledgeable about his trade. We appreciated that he suggested some improvements to the piping near the boiler to improve efficiency, without us even asking. We have also contacted him a few times since the install with questions and he is always very responsive. He also honored his warranty and came back to fix a minor issue we were having with the pressure release valve several months after the initial install. We wish every contractor was like Mirko!

Mirko was able to come in and save the day. He clearly has an expert understanding of HVAC systems, the parts, and the physics that go into them. He was able to diagnose and fix two independent issues in my system and I trusted him to do the work and keep the price low. He clearly laid out the options for me when the freon in my system was leaking so I could make an educated choice about what to do. He could have pushed me toward the more expensive route for fixing it, but instead gave an unbiased consultation that ended up saving me money. I'll certainly call him next time if anything else happens.

I can highly recommend PCK HVAC LLC. I called Mirko based on reviews I'd read here on Angie's list. He was very responsive and readily available for an estimate. He arrived as promised, was very personable and knowledgeable, was happy to review options with me (I wasn't entirely unfamiliar), and provided a reasonable estimate earlier than promised. The work was scheduled immediately, and he arrived on time. In short, he does beautiful work. He goes the extra mile not only functionally but aesthetically. He also cleaned up some connections to my hot water heater, and checked my AC, validating my own maintenance.

Great! Mirko arrived on time and started to work. Tested and cleaned both systems. Found that one system had a bad capacitor. He replaced it and found that the power coming to the outside units from our electric panel was way too high. Suggested that we call PEPCO right way. Pepco came out while Mirko was there. They checked and found that he was correct. Something wrong with the panel. Electrician came out and fixed the problem. Mirko returned to replace air filters. System is now working great! Mirko found a problem that could have resulted in the burn out of two condensing units. He is a hero. Total labor cost for 2 visits: $120!- 5% Angie's list discount

Other companies told me I needed to install a entirely new system, but Mirko replaced my motor--the only component not working, and system is fine again! This was a huge savings, and a fast, uncomplicated solution to my problem. Mirko is great! Very quick to respond to my first call for service. Extremely competent, efficient, explains everything.

As always Mirko is responsive, professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He worked with us to get the radiators reinstalled, and returned several times when the flooring contractor could not make need changes correctly. 
Mirko also replaced our furnace a couple of years ago and does exemplary work. He is a true professional, and super nice guy.

As you'll see, I rarely - if ever - review services/products. Mirko was amazing though and I would be remiss in not leaving a positive review. I could literally gush about his service. He was by far the most affordable provider - I got more than five estimates. His communication was amazing and he was timely and prompt with his work. As a resident of downtown Bethesda with many, many options - I am so glad that I decided to use Mirko. I would never use anyone else. Great communication over text, phone, or email - whatever your preference which was a plus. We have had significant work done to our house since Mirko has been here and each contractor commented that the HVAC technician really knew his stuff. Nice that he treats your house like his.
Price - amazing....beat the competition
Honest - didn't try to upsell me. In fact, he cautioned me to do some of the work I wanted done as there were other easier/cheaper alternatives.
Scheduling - a breeze. He came on the weekend to give an estimate and worked around our schedule otherwise.

PCK HVAC did an excellent job.  This is basically a one-man company, owned and run by Mirko Grozdanic.  Unlike some of the larger companies, where sales and quotes are done by one person, the actual work performed by someone else (whom you would have never met), and the accounting by yet someone else, here Mirko handles it all.  He will come to your home to see what needs to be done, develop a proposal with various options, and then carry out the work himself (with only some temporary help when necessary to lift some of the heavier items).  He also arranged for all the necessary government permits, and then for the follow-up government inspection to ensure code requirements were met.  He is also quite willing to come out on weekends.
Mirko was excellent.  I arranged for quotes from four potential contractors, but only Mirko proposed a solution to one issue (the routing of the connections to the outside air conditioner unit) which, while a bit more complicated for him, was a far "cleaner" solution than what the others had suggested.  He was also careful in arriving at the proper unit capacities (in BTUs, air flow rates, and so on) to ensure the system would function well.  He did not simply take the capacities of my old system and then suggest something similar.  You could tell that he would take the work seriously, and he did.  He took the extra steps to do a quality job.
Mirko's price was also good.  The heating and air conditioning industry is unfortunately one where prices are completely non-transparent at the level of the manufacturer.  Two manufacturers control most of the market, although with numerous separate brands, and will not reveal their prices directly.  It is impossible to find out what the price differences would be of various options (i.e. a unit a step bigger in capacity, or a step higher in efficiency) except by having the contractor work out the cost of one complete system versus another complete system.  Mirko was willing to work with me on this, explained patiently how the various pieces need to fit together (in capacities and so on), and in the end we arrived at a system that I believe will work well.
The system is still new, so I cannot comment on durability.  Mirko provides a two year guarantee on everything (on top of the regular manufacturer's warranty on the equipment, generally for ten years), which allows one to go through two complete heating and cooling seasons to make sure all is working well.  Most contractors provide only a one year guarantee on their own work.
I recommend Mirko highly.  He takes his work seriously and did, I believe, a great job.
