I did go to them. They were fine. It was a little more expensive than I had expected. That could have been my problem, not theirs.

The price is too high, and two of my animals got sick while they were there. I had 5 animals at the time and one of my dogs died. They could a routine staff, their turn over has been huge in the past 5 years. They could maintain continuity of staff. Better follow up when there has been an issue. Both of my cats came down with a virus, and now it has been one year, and they both have runny eyes. They kind of admitted they picked it up from there as it was 8 days after they had been there. All she told me to do was give them Lycin. I know with viruses you can't do much but I don't think it was very efficient, and she didn't call back. My animals have been patients there for over 10 years, and so I would expect better service for old timers. Before that it was fine, but with that little incident it meant that their cleanliness was not good. When they have a sick animal in there, they should clean it down. I would not use them in the future.

The vet is great. Great family, great with our cat. They seem to run a steady operation.

We have been taking our pets to Norbeck Animal Clinic since moving to the area in 2010. We absolutely love this office! The owner, "Dr. Ivanov", is amazing. His understanding of both the behavioral and physical health of our pets is remarkable. His veterinary assistants are well chosen, the rates are always extremely reasonable, and  the office is punctual and responsive to our questions and needs.

I've been very happy with them. They sedated her to clean it completely and they were very good with her. Scheduling went very well and they seemed very competent. They send me regular updates on what my cat needs. They gave me discharge papers and told me what I need to do. The only change I'd suggest was that I tried to call when my pet was sick over Labor Day 2013, their voicemail seemed to suggest someone was there. I also left a message on the patient portal and didn't get a response back until way after the fact.

We had to go back a couple of times for the same issue until we decided to go with a specialist. We were a little disappointed that the vet kept prescribing the same medicine with no positive results. For routine services Norbeck is fine but has become a little expensive since Dr. Mancino left the practice.
Response from NORBECK ANIMAL CLINIC
"Thank you for your review. We always strive to improve and appreciate your feedback. Regarding our prices for services, we generally find ourselves on the low end of being comparable to other clinics in the area and do our best to make things as affordable to owners as possible. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. Thank you!"

I had been taking my cats to this clinic for about 7 years.  During that time, the practice was sold to the junior veterinarian.  No problem, I liked him.  Then that vet stopped working there and the revolving door of other vets (and vet technicians) began.  Some were good, some were lousy.  Because the blood work I had performed in early February would also serve as the required pre-anesthesia blood work for a teeth cleaning, later in the month I called the practice receptionist to schedule the service.  She scheduled the cleaning and told me when to bring my cat in and when to pick him up, full stop.  Then three things happened.  When I brought the cat into the clinic that morning, the technician so carelessly placed his carrier on the counter that it fell onto the floor with my cat in it.  Then, they refused to do the cleaning because I had not fasted my cat.  THEN, the vet then called and left a very condescending voice mail in which she said that I had forgotten to follow her instructions to fast my cat...when, in fact, she didn't give me any instructions at all (the receptionist did).  Very unprofessional.  Given the rate at which staff come and go, there might be a new vet (and techs) by the time you read this.  Service has been very uneven over the past couple of years.
Update 4/14/2014:  My cat sitter used Norbeck Animal Clinic when I was on travel because one of my male cats had a urethral obstruction.  They did the emergency work (unblocked and catheterized him) so that my cat sitter could move him to the 24/7 emergency hospital.  They didn't do any analysis of the urine to identify the cause of the blockage, which was a disappointment.  On the plus side, the vet I had disliked so much was already gone and two other vets are currently in place.  The one who did the emergency work was not liked by my cat sitter; I liked the other vet, who saw my cat a few days for apossible urinary tract infection (when my current vet clinic was closed).

This animal clinic was recommended by a neighbor when we got a new rescue cat. They are awesome. They are very knowledgeable, and they take their time to perform a thorough exam and make sure to answer all of your questions. The fees are also very reasonable. I'm very happy with this clinic.

I travel all the way from Northern Virginia to see Dr. Castellanos and his excellent team. The customer service is great and they have taken care of my German Shepherd dog since 2010. Their grooming service is amazing and breed-specific.

I think there are two doctors there. They are kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, helpful and great with our dogs. The staff is friendly. They call back after you take your dog in and if they had a shot or something they call back to make sure your animal is doing OK. They are great and when we had to put one of our dogs down, they were just wonderful about it.

I took my cat to Norbeck Animal Clinic because she had injured her foot.
I called in the morning and got an appointment for the same day. At the
clinic, we had a very short wait before we were seen. The vet, Dr.
Zelepsky, checked the cat over (checked eyes, ears, teeth, listened to
her heart, etc., and felt along the injured leg) then took her to another room
where she could examine her swollen foot more thoroughly. There she
discovered an abscess inside the pad of the foot. After telling me what she found and what she was going to do, she sedated the cat,
clipped the fur on the bottom of her foot, and drained and irrigated the wound. She
gave her an antibiotic injection and a anti-inflammatory injection, and
gave me instructions for how to soak her foot twice a day for the next several days, and how to care for her over the next week. She
also put a collar/hood on her to keep her from licking the foot.
When I checked out, I received a written summary of
what had been done, along with instructions for continuing care during
the next few days, and an itemized bill. They also gave me a reminder notice listing upcoming dates when her vaccinations would need to be renewed.
The meds were expensive, but not unreasonable. I felt the cost was reasonable for the level of care that had been given.
The staff was very good: friendly, courteous, professional, capable. Dr. Zelepsky immediately found the problem, without unnecessary xrays or blood tests, and treated it efficiently. I was very satisfied.
The clinic followed up with a phone call the next day, to make sure my cat was doing well.

It went great - the staff was incredibly nice on the phone and accommodating when we had to reschedule the time of our appointment. The vet himself was personable, recommended heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention medicines, and answered a lot of questions we had about our new puppy.

Went pretty well.  The staff was very friendly.  They diagnosed an ear infection in one of the cats, but my other cat was very difficult (wouldn't stay still, hissing, etc) so they weren't able to complete a physical exam on him.  So while disappointing (especially since I had concerns about his upset stomach), it was understandable.  However, this was the first time in 8 years of having the cat that he was unable to sit through a physical exam.

I had a great experience with Dr. Ivanov and his staff -- they were all professional and the doctor really had a great way of interacting with my dog, an older pug (11 years) who has recently been having some mobility issues.  She was overdue for some other routine assessments, but he was very understanding about focusing on the issue at hand and not trying to push a lot of additional testing.  X-rays revealed hip dysplasia and he was very thorough in explaining the diagnosis and his treatment plan both initially and for the future.
The only reason I gave a "B" for punctuality is b/c I did have to wait a significant time to be seen even though I arrived on time for my appointment.  On the other hand, they provided me with a same-day appointment which, as a new patient, was very accomodating.  And it was certainly worth the wait.  I will be returning to Dr. Ivanov for ongoing management of my dog's health.
