This was a very good experience for me. The staff was very knowledgeable, did a very good job of identifying what needed fixing and an excellent job of implementing the fixes.

Excellent service. I walked out within the hour with everything tuned up great. With a price tag of under fifty bucks and easy conversation while he worked, Rob Moren really shows the best side of what a local, family business can be.

They did a wonderful job, the watches look like they are new, and I would go back to them in a second.

I took the silverware in on Saturday and got it back on Wednesday, as promised. The work was very professionally done.

The work was performed by the owner, and while I waited (which I did not expect)!
Once fixed, the second hand then stopped moving, but he applied a little oil and now it works great.
Also, I asked some questions about future repairs/restorations of my watch. He discussed what could and could not be done, and the estimated cost. I was very impressed with his thoroughness and knowledge, and friendly service.

Mr. Moren was fast, courteous, and professional; he replaced my watch battery while I waited. I found side street metered parking (50 cents/half-hour) and walked to the store which is located across from Dale Music on Georgia Ave; you must walk down an outside staircase to the lower level. Highly recommend!

Easy. I walked in, the owner took a look at my watch, said he had the battery in stock and then we chatted while he made the repair. Lovely man! I'm going to take my mom's Cartier in for a fix soon.

My Mom had her Father's vintage Rolex repaired by a horrible watch repair store in Tulsa, OK. Unfortunately we didn't know how bad the store in Tulsa was (savage review for them to follow, avoid CNS Jewelry and Watch Repair at all costs!) until she gave me her Father's watch for Christmas and during the week after, I noticed condensation building up inside the crystal. I live in Silver Spring, MD and researched my watch repair options in the local area. I decided to go to Moren Inc. and was very lucky to have picked them.

Rob, the owner, inspected my watch and called me with an assessment just a couple of hours after I had dropped it off. The crystal needed replacement, the crown was not the right size for the watch (and therefore allowed moisture inside), the stem had rust on it and the only way to make sure that moisture had not accessed the inner workings of the watch was to take it fully apart and inspect everything. In short, the CNS store in Tulsa had kept my Mom waiting for months, did not repair the fractured crystal and installed an ill-fitting crown on to the watch. Basically they took a watch in need of repair and made it worse. Then they charged her $300 and lied to her.

After letting my Mom know what Rob had found we decided to go with the full inspection as we wanted to make sure there was no moisture inside. Luckily there wasn't and Rob replaced the crystal and crown with parts that actually fit and would protect my Grandfather's watch. As the original stem was rusted it had to be replaced also. I also had Rob's Jewelry Appraiser do a formal appraisal on the watch for insurance purposes. I highly recommend this for anyone who is wondering whether to do it or not.

I haven't had the work done yet, but the owner called with the estimate and was obviously very knowledgeable about the history of the watch and explained in detail what was causing it to lose time and what was needed to repair it. This is a true watch repair shop, not a jewelry shop that sends out watches to be blown clean and re-oiled. (I already went to one of those, unfortunately.) The cost for the repair wasn't cheap--but it was reasonable for such a labor-intensive and delicate procedure.
