 + -1 moreIt went very well. The contractor and his crew are very pleasant, and it's easy to brainstorm ideas with the contractor. He went out of his way to get things right to his satisfaction (and ours!), going above and beyond. He was easy to reach and remained in touch the entire time. We were able to trust the crew in our house even when we were at work. Delays were caused by subcontractors who did not appear at times or worked too slowly, which made the job go more slowly than anyone had expected, but we have had similar scheduling experiences with other contractors as well. From the permitting process to the final touches, it was a professional job well executed.
Description of Work: The company took on several unrelated jobs. They replaced six windows and their corresponding windowsills; remodeled the basement and a powder room; and replaced the front cement ''porch'' area and part of the carport. The basement work included replacing a dropped tile ceiling and wall paneling with drywall; painting; adding crown moldings; building and installing a built-in bookcase and entertainment center; new railing; new windows; replacement recessed lights; new exterior door and storm door. In the powder room, all fixtures and flooring were replaced, wallpaper was stripped and walls were painted. Cement front porch area was demolished and replaced with flagstone-covered high-quality cement with a new step and new lighting. Adjacent carport area was demolished and replaced as well.
