LUXURY PAINTING

The owner was supposed to prime and paint the interior of my house.  He did not apply multiple coats as promised. I can still see drywall and pencil marks on drywall.  Some areas were not painted at all.  Others were very sloppy.  He applied paint on my new front door when it was too cold.  Then when he tried to correct the problem by sanding it he scratched the glass.  The paint job was terrible.  He insisted he applied two coats of paint to the inside and outside.  I had to show him where no paint had been applied at all.  I asked him how it was possible that he missed the same spot twice if two coats were really applied.  After staining the front of the house he attempted to wash his brushes in my new laundry tub.  
When he began work at my house I returned home to see him washing his brushes on my newly built flagstone steps.  He stained the newly applied stucco.  He ignored my repeated requests to stop washing things out against my newly renovated house.  He also ignored my request to wash the paint off the front of the house.  My construction manager came back to help him try to remove the stains.   I ultimately had to have the stucco guys come back to fix the stains on the front of the house.  I have not yet resolved the glass issue on the front door. 
He knocked down my neighbors mail box and didn't say anything.  An appliance delivery service saw him do and and alerted me to it.  My construction manager fixed it for him.  He smoked in my house until my brother informed him it was unacceptable.
He also didn't use the brand of paint I requested he use.
His wife manages the finances of the company.  Her response to my dissatisfaction was, "we've been in business 30 years" and things happen on job sites. 

I was very happy with my experience with Luxury Painting. I received 3 other quotes and Luxury was very competitive. They had done work for two of my friends in my neighborhood as well. Kathy called me a week before work was scheduled to start and told me they could start earlier than expected. They completed the job in a little over a half day and did a great job. The only negative I would mention, and it is minor, is that they left some old caulk around, some small wood scraps and some blue tape. I would still recommend them to anyone.
