I called first thing in the morning to make an appointment to have our elderly cat euthanized after several agonizing months of thinking about it, and after talking with the vet at this facility during an appointment about the possibility of euthanasia being the next step. I called to make an appointment (which took us days to work up to). I was questioned about why we wanted to put our elderly and ailing pet down, (which I understand), but then I was informed that I would still have to consult with a vet before I could make an appointment. I never got a call. I never got an explanation about why I needed to consult the vet. In another lifetime I was a vet tech. Patients who came in with pets to be euthanized (with appointments or walk-ins) were treated with the empathy and understanding that a person who is helping aid their pet in the transition during this most painful time deserves. This is not that place.

Layhill examined and evaluated her, doing their best to calm her although she hates vet visits and was hostile. They provided some treatment, did blood tests, and referred us to a specialty vet practice with more extensive care options. Unfortunately it was probably already too late, and the other animal hospital was unable to save her.

She doesn't come back sick or with fleas.

Dr. Adelman has been our dog's vet since we got him from a rescue about two and a half years ago. We have always been very happy with our pet's care. He is a large breed dog and Dr. Adelman and his staff are very good with treating him whether it be for a minor illness or just his regular check ups and vaccines. We always receive a reminder that our dog is due for another routine preventative care item which we appreciate very much. The price is reasonable, and we are pretty sure our dog almost likes going to the vet due to the attention he receives from the staff!
We were actually referred to Layhill Animal Hospital by a close friend who also uses this practice for her dog. Her dog was recently quite ill, and Dr. Adelman quickly diagnosed her dog with a life threatening illness after an emergency vet who saw the dog saw over the weekend misdiagnosed him. On Dr. Adelman's advice, she immediately took the dog to a different emergency animal hospital where the dog had specialized surgery. Despite a poor prognosis, the dog made it and is good as new today. Without this quick diagnosis and referral to the appropriate emergency specialist, our friend's animal would not have made it.

They are fine. We have been using them for almost 18 years. The doctor is very nice, they are very good. Their prices are very, very good. I have recommended him to someone at work and she liked them.

Each time we boarded our dog, the bill was calculated incorrectly. I was even sent a negative letter after catching a mistake in their favor! I was told to make up the difference later at the time of pick up, but the letter was sent before I had time to go back and pay. They never would have known about the mistake if I hadn't caught it!

Our dog became very ill last summer, and the vet gave few options for his care without costly surgery. We went to another vet and received excellent care with no surgery .

One time when we went to pick up our dog from boarding, a dog was brought out from the back after treatment. His leg had not been wrapped and was bleeding. No one offered to wrap the leg, and the distraught owner carried the dog out to the car with the dog's blood dripping down her arm. A tech then came out and swiped the bloody floor with a mop. Blood streaks were left on the floor.

Our dog was once taken to a treatment room for shots, and the tech was wearing dirty, sweaty clothing. He did not wash his hands, either.

The dogs are walked in an area where there is lots of traffic. You have to sign a waiver that Layhill will not be held responsible if your animal panics, wiggles out of its collar or harness and gets away while being walked outside.

We will not be returning to Layhill.

He called me three times during the surgery. He is excellent and skilled. Office is well run. Staff is competent. He saved my pet's life. His diagnosis and surgurial care was extraordinary. My pet and I happy.

I like the doctors; they have convenient hours and pretty fair prices. I have been using this veterinarian practice for the last 15 years.

they kept my dog for a whole day and did nothing. My dog could have died if I hadn't picked him up and taken him to another emergency veterinarian.

The surgery was a little expensive. They definitely are a company that I would recommend. They are convenient and I can always get appointments easily. They are nice and very knowledgeable.

I really like this place because my vet is in the same office as well. His name is Robert Adelman. He is excellent. The kennel is very clean and the people treat my pet well. An extra perk with this place having the vet on hand is that they can get things done such as shots, treatments, etc. if needed while the kennel watches him.

The veterinarians always show that they care for the animals as well as their staff. They have always done a really good job with our pets and the appointments always seem to go quickly. We have used them for boarding as well and they have always been really good at that.
