Landscapes Plus

Great service.

I contracted with Landscapes Plus to completely re-do the landscaping in my front and back yards. It was such a pleasure to work with the owner, Avi Chertock. He had lots of excellent ideas for the best types of shrubs and other plants, flowers, and trees to plant in a very sunny front yard, a very shady back yard, and deer everywhere. Mr. Chertock not only knew the best types of things to plant, he also had an eye for design, and suggested different layouts and shapings of the beds. There really was little landscaping there to begin with, so he was almost starting from scratch. He is excellent at communicating. He listened to what my preferences are, and really kept them in mind when suggesting what should be planted. He also kept me apprised of the progress of the project every step of the way. Mr. Chertock and his crew did a superb job of taking out old shrubbery, and creating beautiful beds with new shrubbery, flowers, and a flowering tree. I recommend Landscapes Plus very highly!

Avi Chertock and his crew were wonderful. Avi has an encyclopedic knowledge of plants and lawns. He presented lots of ideas for the terracing. It turned out beautifully and, with his spring and fall treatments, it's completely low-maintenance. The lawn required a lot of work, and now it's the best on the block. He's very responsive to concerns and explains everything very clearly.

I have been extremely pleased with their services, especially Avi and Team's responsiveness and flexibility. Prices are competitive and billing is very easy. I also appreciate the openness in which we discuss options and alternatives.

Great communication. Owner worked closely with me on the new garden's design and plant selection and had great suggestions to fit the space and maintenance level required. Good follow-up after the project -- making sure everything was okay and answering questions. Definitely recommend!

I am an 80 year old man living alone in an 80 year old house.  I have frequent need for maintenance and repair assistance of all kinds.  Some have been bad, some have been good, and some have been excellent.  Avi Chertock and his crew rank Number One in the excellent category.  In all respects, they are highly professional, i.e. knowledgeable, flexible, courteous, punctual and dependable.  And the price is right.  Simply stated, these are the good guys -- the very good guys.

I had a very positive experience with Avi and Landscapes Plus. He is responsive, punctual, and thorough. He took the time to examine various projects that I had in mind and did a terrific job with the project I chose to have completed. He was always on time and communicative, which I found to be a welcome change from other companies. I highly recommend him.

Avi Chertock, the owner of Landscapes Plus, was a pleasure to work with.  From the outset, he was immediately responsive to phone calls and e-mails, very good about answering questions and addressing concerns.  He had very good ideas to offer, and at the same time worked well with my own overall ideas.  He willingly made site visits, and carefully planned his work days to coincide with the best weather conditions.  He was on-site for the entire project.  Following the project's completion, he readily replied to follow-up questions about ongoing maintenance of the new lawns.  He was unfailingly professional, pleasant, and always punctual, keeping me informed of any last-minute changes in his work schedule which would affect my project.  He sets a $750 minimum for all projects, but i believe that for this project his price was commensurate with the quality of work and personalized service which he provided.

This was a wonderful experience!  Our backyard has a large terraced area that had become completely overgrown with day lilies and weeds.  It was impossible to see the terracing, as well as some of the azaleas!  Landscapes Plus came promptly to consult and provide an estimate.  They cleared away all the day lilies, weeds, and ivy.  Then they brought samplings of shrubs and perennials for us to think over.  They provided new topsoil, planted the beautiful assortment of flowering bushes and perennials, treated the area for weeds, and mulched.  They trimmed the border plantings, getting them back to their original glory.  On the side of the house, they weeded and treated the beds and planted new beautiful perennials.  In the front yard, they tamed back the azaleas and relocated hosta plants to fill in the beds.  Finally, they treated the lawn, which was overrun with clover.  The new look is glorious to see.  The neighbors have all commented!  We'll continue to ask Landscapes Plus back to help us maintain our terrific gardens!

The project recently started and they are just now on the first stage - pruning and clearing underbrush. Work is scheduled to be finished by the end of the month. Avi, the owner, has been great. He's very professional, keeps me informed of progress and when they're coming. If weather is a problem he lets me know about delay in advance. I'm very satisfied with the work and have received numerous compliments on the landscaping.  If I could I'd post pictures.

They were just as good the second time as they were the first time that I used them. I don't remember the price, but I know it was more of a good price because the bamboo took a lot more time. I know it was more than their first visit, but I don't know how much more. I will be using them again this spring or summer. Their punctuality is definitely an A.

Avi, the owner, was extremely knowlegable,friendly, and assessible.We had interviewed three other landscapers but Avi was by far the our number one choice. He was easy to get in touch with,returned your calls promptly, and was personally on site throughout the job. He was very approachable and would adjust his plans to meet our desires. As far as I am concern Avi's work ethic,honesty, and professionism were a welcomed sight. I would strongly recommend Landcapes Plus without hesitation.

Because of snow and very cold weather appointment had to be postposed . Once wether permitted, Avi Chertuck and his crew arrived at the agreed time and did good work. Some additions and changes were mutually agreed during the course of the work.

They worked out very well. The owner was there to supervise everything that was done. The owner and I discussed what I liked and didn't like. He made good recommendations about lawn care and other things I needed to do to maintain a good lawn. The owner was very hands on.

Mr. Chertock came to meet me and give me an estimate of what he proposed to do. It sounded reasonable and so he and his 2 workers came to begin the work the following week. I was not at home most of the day, but everyday I could see some progress. By the end of the week the lawn was seeded and the plants looked big and healthy. He always cleaned up at the end of the day, and there were no tools left lying around the yard. This was the easiest home improvement project for me, since I did not have to do anything but water the lawn. Three weeks later, wow! The whole front lawn came alive with color. It looked picture-perfect and it made me very proud to be the owner of that house.

From the moment I called Avi, to the time him and his crew finished the work, the experience was one of professionalism, punctuality and reliability. He always returned calls promptly, showed up on time, and drew up a wonderful design. Avi's knowledge and experience were tops. The crew was polite, on time and also experienced. They renovated the yard, edged, mulched, trimmed, and planted an abundance of plants with seasonal colors and blooms. The place looks completely different, and we love sitting on our patio and deck and admiring the beauty of our landscape. We signed up immediately for an annual maintenance contract, and the crew fertilizes, mulches and trims on a regular basis. Just wonderful people to deal with. Didn't think contractors like this existed anymore. Highly recommend for price, quality and professionalism.
