I contacted 3 electricians for this work. I did not get a response from one for two days. The other gave me a quote of $960 without asking any detailed questions whatsoever. Joe asked questions over the phone and indicated that it would be better for him to inspect things to provide the most accurate quote and best ideas for the job. For example, he indicated that the bathroom exhaust fans that I wanted needed to be a precise fit for the existing space, otherwise they would require drywall work. He asked how the switches worked (they were on outlets) and asked if I wanted them to revert to the ceiling lights/fans (I did). In the end, I bought 3 ceiling fans/lights and one light kit, but he bought the bathroom exhaust fans to ensure a proper fit (price above includes the materials he purchased). He researched it and gave me two options, and I went with the lower CFM rating since my bathrooms are small. He came according to my available schedule and did great work, splitting the job into two visits -- first doing the electrical work, then installing the fans (which gave me extra time to actually buy them). A colleague recommended him and he has clearly installed countless ceiling fans.
