Joe and his crew did an amazing job on my screened in porch! They were all friendly, polite, professional, and went above and beyond to make my porch exactly how I wanted it. Joe is a straightforward and honest guy. His quote was very reasonable, and his contract clearly stated what work he was going to do and how much I would pay for each service. I liked that Joe was in constant communication about when the work was going to be done, so I always knew what to expect. He made some excellent suggestions for the porch, and it came out beautifully. Everyone who sees my new porch loves it and agrees that I had a great contractor! This is my third major project (previous desk/screened porch, slate patio) with Joe. That should tell you all you need to know but I'll continue... Perhaps the greatest thing about Joe is his pride in the workmanship of his team. If his name is associated with a project, it's got to be up to pretty high standards - if not, he'll fix it until it is and you are happy with the result. Inevitably in any major project you're going to be surprised (huh, didn't know that drain pipe was behind that drywall, tile company that you purchased floor tile from 3 yrs ago gave you one wrong box of tile that you didn't notice and it had to be replaced (delaying the project), sink manufacturing defects on sink fixtures that YOU ordered (not Joe) that further delayed the project...) Joe took all of these surprises (none his fault) in stride and rescheduled his team as required to get the project complete. When some minor issues with workmanship (some plumbing/painting rework) did occur, Joe ensured the work was corrected to his and my satisfaction. Can't ask for better than that in any contractor. We're not done with all the projects around the house yet and Joe will remain my "go to" guy. Highly recommended.

Joe is a very straightforward, down-to-earth guy to work with. He got a fairly complicated job done efficiently, including a couple of mid-course changes I requested. I'm happy to recommend him and his crew.

Joe did an absolutely beautiful job adding a screened porch and stone patio onto our house. He was in regular communication about the timeline and next steps and followed through on the dates he set. I also really appreciated that, of all the people who provided quotes for the project, he was the only one who took the time to sit down to discuss and put together a detailed proposal-- not just a bottom-line number and quick dimensions, but an explanation of what exactly the porch would look like, what features it would have, what the payment schedule would be like, etc. I felt like I knew from our first meeting what the finished product would look like, and he more than delivered. All of the foregoing is even before getting into the quality of the work itself, which is stellar. I had received some quotes from people who said they could do the project for less, but I wasn't confident that the finished product would be as polished and professional as what Joe indicated he and his team could do. And they did. We're absolutely thrilled with the result and will be enjoying the porch and patio for years to come.

Joe took on the project to redo is a driveway from a crumbling asphalt to concrete. The work was subcontracted and he did a good job of describing how the work was done. In the end, he did little supervision of their work, and I was communicating some key changes in the contour of the driveway for aesthetics. While the driveway turned out nice, the grading was such that rain now runs into my garage. Joe was contacted about this issue and never returned our call to address it. we had to find a mitigation to address the defect. needless to say, I am very upset and caution those who'll use him in the future.

Joe and his team does great work and communicates very well. He is a down to earth person that is great to work with. Very satisfied with our new garage and highly recommend him.

If you want a guy to go above and beyond to beat your expectations, hire Joe. I can't say enough good things about this guy. From the start - prior to signing a contract with him - he took the initiative to go down to the permit office to discuss my potential garage plans to alleviate my stress on whether I needed a variance. The contract drafting process was fluid - he listened and accepted most, if not all, of my changes and upgrades - with minimal cost impact. He walked and talked me through the entire building process, addressing my questions and/or changes all throughout the way. Joe even was taking care of business while he was away on a family vacation. He always had a smile on his face and a can-do attitude. Stand-up guy. Couldn't have asked for a better builder! My garage is AWESOME!

Joe completed the job within the time frame on the contract. Addressed all of my concerns and did a fantastic job. My new composite deck and new fence look fantastic.

I'm a serious DIYer myself and I'm pretty picky. Was going to do the screened in porch project myself but decided to hire Joe based on reviews and a neighbor's recommendation. Absolutely made the right call! Couldn't be happier with the completed project, or the customer service. We had 41 folks at the house for Thanksgiving this year and the collective reaction was simply "Wow!" Highly recommended.

Joe and his crew are fabulous! Joe made some great suggestions on the design of our driveway and sidewalk. His crew was prompt and efficient. We are extremely pleased with the work that was done.

Joe provided a very competitive price and did a good job. The reason I gave 4.5 instead of 5 is because the deck gate in few days became a little crooked and most of the time I have to apply some force to open or close it. I tried to fix it, but couldn't. But, in overall, Joe and his people did a good job and I would probably hired them again for some other project.

Joe worked with me and the supplier to redo my deck. The deck was built by Joe several years ago using pressure treated wood. Upon inspecting the deck last spring, I discovered that several joist were rotten. After notifying Joe and from his inspection, he informed me that the wrong pressure treated wood was used. He promised that he would repair the deck as needed and he did.

Joe was fantastic. He was prompt, efficient, and always reliable (unlike some other contractors we've dealt with in the past). Joe was solution oriented and great to work with. He cared about getting it right.

The result was a very well built 24X26 (10 ft High) Garage

Joe was very professional, He was leaving for vacation the next day and I needed to have my slab pored, from his vacation he made sure the crew was here on time and finished the job. I would highly recommend this company

J. Passero's team was very efficient with job and had the old driveway and sidewalk completely removed in one day. The driveway was poured the next day. They did a much better job that the builder and improved the drainage and the height of the sidewalk in relation to the front steps. The only problems are the basketball pole is no longer perpendicular to the driveway and it is leaning slightly. Also because the sidewalk was raised, additional landscaping was needed to make the lawn even with the sidewalk which was not factored into the original proposal. However, even with these minor issues the driveway is a significant improvement and will add lasting value to my home.

While doing a drive-by, the curb appeal of the job looks okay. But if you get out of your car and look closer at the details (which is the indicator of good down to poor work), the work is sloppy and showed poor workmanship. The concrete debris (new and old) that was left behind buried within areas the contractor back-filled around the new work edges was clearly poor workmanship. I spent many hours digging back out the concrete debris and grass clumps buried around the new work which is contract item the ground will be graded. All said and done, I could never recommend Joe Passero Home Services LLC, at least for concrete projects. I should mention that I have a degree in Civil Engineering and well aware of the properties of concrete and construction practices. The most frustrating part was I truly believe that Joe thought the work was beautiful and you could not ask for any better. He needs to work with a different concrete subcontractor that does better quality work and then he will realize what he has gone nose-blind to. Joe always seemed to have an excuse for everything and he never really listened which is quite evident when I think back and review my whole experience with him. Even though I have a lot to rework and fix now, Im truly glad my relationship with Joe is done. Even as Joe Passeros proposal was the highest (30 higher than the two other proposals I obtained) I went with Joe because I am a big believer that you get what you pay for. I was sadly wrong. I was hoping for quality work especially when concrete is so permanent. I feel Joe was deceptive with the scope work discussed and what was actually included or intended in the contract verbiage. So for those out there considering entering a contract with Joe, read it carefully and make sure what you want is included in detail instead of broad line items which you may assume covers what you discussed, but then later find out when a portion of work was not done its wasnt in the contract. Make sure you know what you are paying top dollar for. I had all exterior concrete replaced (driveway, lead walkway, front stoop w/ steps, two slabs-on-grade in back for sliding basement door). I was amazed (and also not happy) with the pace in which the work was performed. The crew was in and out in about 6 hours which is a bit fast if one is paying attention to detail and quality. When I was finally able get out of my house (all door ares had fresh concrete w/ no means of egress provided) to inspect the work after the crew was gone, I was not happy with the quality of workmanship I observed. The concrete spill-out around and under the formwork is expected, but to leave it there to cure is really sloppy and detracts from the overall appearance of the work. The broom finish was very coarse because the concrete contractor did not the proper type of broom specifically made for finishing concrete surfaces, a push broom was used instead.
