Hometown Landscape & Lawn Service

Our crepe myrtles are now 20+ ft tall. We can no longer trim them. Hometown sent a crew of 5 who did the trimming precisely the way we instructed. Quick efficient quality work. On the expensive side, though.

We worked with Tony. Carlos was the crew supervisor for the job. They excavated approx. 2,400 sq. ft. of gravel driveway, added leafgro and topsoil, and installed sod. Also removed 6 fence posts. The results were simply terrific. Beyond expectations. In 4 1/2 hours this new beautiful lawn area, with perfect contours and drainage was created. We worked closely with the crew to tweek the design as the work progressed. Hometown Landscape is highly recommended. They were the low bid price - by a lot.

The quality of their workmanship is not what I expected, given the high price we were charged. Our next door neighbors' driveway which was done a couple of years earlier still shows much better than ours. Weeds started growing between the bricks cracks. On the other hand, our neighbor's brick pavers were more tightly joined with denser stone dust. Much to our regret, we hired them at the recommendation of a landscape designer/architect. And before hiring them, we did show the company's rep the neighbor's driveway which we wanted them to duplicate. But the resulting difference in the quality and look of the two driveways is just too obvious to the naked eye. So consequently, we will not hire this company again for any other project.

Fine-- I should have looked at pictures of what they were going to plant before agreeing to the work-- we spent a lot of money and it wasn't the plant I meant. They also came on a day we weren't home, and had I been home, I would have caught that and saved us money. We've had to redo the area again six years later because it wasn't what we wanted or needed. They did also put in a French drain which mostly solved a drainage problem, but not completely.

They've done an excellent job on everything we've requested.

For the most part, the quality of service is good. However, on multiple occasions, I've emailed them to discuss the service and have had to follow up after a week or two due to no response. I am mostly satisfied with the lawn care, but not so much with the customer service.

Overall the work done is excellent. They proposed an excellent selection of plants and a nice design for both the front and backyards, taking into account both the terrain, our preferences and budget. They were punctual and got the job done in a timely manner. They warranty their landscape plants for one year, and a large shrub in the backyard died over the winter and required replacing. They replaced the shrub, though it took several emails to get that done.

Not very well. The viburnum was ignored though it was mentioned in the proposal. They seemed to think they were finished and I realized they would not do the kind of caring, knowledgeable work I was looking for when trimming a small tree so I let them go.

Work was high quality and on schedule. No complaints. Hedge is doing well.

They are quick and efficient and the lawn looks consistently good since I started using them last year.

Everything went well. The wall helped our drainage and greatly improve the look around our house.

I really cannot say enough good things about the assistance that I consistently receive from Hometown Landscape and Lawn Service, at reasonable prices, and I plan to continue to use their services. I readily give this company my highest recommendation!!

It was fine, went well. They managed to accomplish what I was looking to have done and did it well. The area was clean when I got home.

The work they did was good. I remember it being expensive. We did only use them once, they work was good, but not the management. Dealing with the management was a pain, that's why we never called them back. Dealing with the customer service part of it was awful. I wouldn't necessarily recommend them.

They are supposed to start the work at any time. The overall estimate is why we chose them. The estimate was very clear. The main thing that I was was happy with this company was first of all they kept their appointment. A previous company had emailed and said they couldn't make the appointment. Another company came and the guy was not very knowledgeable about helping me decide. This man from Hometown came and he had information about what he thought we needed based on what we were going to do on the patio. He made suggestions which really made the decision making easier. Then when they wrote up the estimate and they sent it promptly. It wasn't a long wait. When they sent the estimate it was very thorough and very professionally done with all of the details that we needed to know concerning the job. So far, things have gone quite well. Sometimes you don't know what you want. You want to know what you can have.

I was not real thrilled with it. I don't think that's their specialty. I had to give them half of the payment. They came back a second time; I didn't pay them until August. The guy just came and redid the work. I didn't stay here I had to leave that day. It's okay.

They were fine. The guy came out, explained the problem with the drainage with the water running down with the mud accumulating on the patio and it's a hard rain. He suggested this rock thing. So, what he did was came in, and they went ahead and dug up the lawn on the far side where the water was running down. They put down the black stuff that you decorate in place with a very large stone. They put the rose bed in the back.

I wasn't real thrilled with it. I would not use them again for brick work. I had to call them back because the bricks cracked.
