GOLDEN FLOORS

Golden Floors tore up and replaced rotted flooring in my old Sears House in 2000.  In some rooms, they did full hard wood replacement and the base.  In other rooms, they matched the original flooring wood, and only replaced what was needed.  They worked with me to minimize removal of the original flooring and save cost.
Their estimate was exact, the work was done promptly, and it is a beautiful finished product that has weathered use in 12 years.  Their professionalism and tidiness are also excellent.
I am starting a new remodel on my old house and I plan to use Golden Floors again for the new flooring.

They removed the tile and found damaged wood.  This involved additional expense over and above the original estimate, which I had been warned might be the case.  They replaced some out the wood that day and sanded most of the floors.  That was on a Thursday.  Friday they came back and replace the rest of the wood and did the rest of the sanding.  Saturday they returned to put down the first coat of polyurethane.  Today (Monday) they are putting down the final coat. 
They are very thorough and clear in explaining what they are going to do and how much time it will take to do it.  They were very responsive when I called to set up appointments and extremely prompt in arriving.   The workers are courteous and extremely pleasant.  Their work is EXCELLENT! They are finishing up today and I can't wait to get home to see the completed project.  Everyone who had seen my living room floor commented on how beautiful the floor was and wanted to know who we used.  I recommend Golden Floors highly!

Oscar provided us with a quote after viewing the house. In his initial quote he forgot to include the fee for refinishing the stairs, which he charges more for than regular floors, an amount of 700 dollars. But he and his crew showed up early and got to work right away. They were very diligent and worked very hard. They paused work in some areas to explain conditions in the old floors and checked with us before proceeding. As a consolation for the missing part of the estimate, Oscar waved the fee for areas of the floor underneath the carpet that needed to be repaired, a broken board and two boards with significant holes. This included the cost of about ten feet of pine flooring and the labor needed to install the pieces. The finished product is excellent and he nearly matched the grain of the new sections of flooring to the old. In addition, on the second floor of the house which has a sub-floor, Oscar's crew tightened and secured loose and creaky boards. Oscar himself came to inspect the floors once the finish dried before taking final payment.
