He was a really responsible person and had terrific test. I went out of country for a while and during that time he chose the carpets and painted the kitchen. It looks really good, I like it and everybody else likes it.

The countertops are very good and very well designed. It is also very nicely polished which looks beautiful.

They were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were very good about talking it through beforehand and letting me know exactly what the options were.

Started out as a simple roof repair of leak. Turns out Mr Duran can do anything, has excellent judgment, a great helper and can refer you to anybody else you need: cleaners, interior designers, landscapers, etc. I went to Europe for 2 weeks and came home to mostly finished work.

The work went very well. Ernest was prompt in giving an estimate and also in completing the work. The work was well done and was done promptly. Everything was left clean and neat, even while projects were in progress. Ernest also figured out how to solve a basement water problem that had been going on for a few years. He had good ideas for how to get things done, and his estimates were accurate.

Mr. Duran and his assistants arrived when promised and began work immediately. The wall itself looks great; you can't tell that railings had been removed and the walls repaired. The paint job is wonderful. Mr. Duran helped me pick out a different color for below the chair rail that I am very happy with. The molding looks like it has been in the house for 100 years. I had people over 2 days after the job was completed and was asked if I had used an interior designer because the paint colors go so well together. They also commented on how good the paint job was and didn't believe that the chair rail and molding had just been put in. Most importantly, Mr. Duran came by a couple of days later to tell me that the wiring in my house has not been updated since it was installed, and that I had the old-style cloth-covered, ungrounded wiring. An important safety fact that I was not aware of. He wasn't an alarmist to pressure me to hire him right away, which I also appreciated.

I was satisfied with the quality of the work that was done, but not with other aspects of this contractor's performance. Ernest was very late for the estimate appointment, and it took me several phone calls to find out he was held up in traffic and had misplaced his cell phone, but he finally got to the house and evaluated the job. Then he was late again the next day when he was supposed to start work, and again I had to call him to find out what happened. He did the work later that day, I paid him, but received no statement or receipt for it, so I called about a week later to request one. Then he informed me that he had lost my check and would pay to stop payment on it if I would send him a replacement. After I'd stopped payment on the check and written out a new one, he called to tell me he'd found my original, so I had to hassle with my bank again to cancel the stop payment. Finally, the statement I requested to be mailed to me was just stuck in the front door.

After exchanging phone messages, Duran seemed very interested in the work. He was pleasant. His crew arrived within the scheduled hour. Duran himself would then disappear for hours at a time in search of "parts," for which he charged his hourly rate. The tile installer replaced four wood tiles. It took him less than three hours, but we were charged a full eight man hours for his job. (He paced outside the house for the rest.) We asked the crew to install a missing magnet on a shower door, but they merely applied glue. The door knob job was mediocre; they didn't install the strike plate at all. At the first test, the pipe under the sink leaked badly and we had them re-do that job. Duran then presented us with a bill for nearly $3,000. We were outraged and told him so. Finally we wrote a check for $1800, to settle up, which was still ridiculous.

Went well.

Everything went great. Duran Duran came on the appointed day and completed all the tasks I had requested. The cost of the materials and labor was very reasonable. Highly recommend this company.

They took four days to complete this job. I completely trusted the Duran Duran team in my house. They showed me what had caused the shower leak. I went out and purchased the tile, bathroom sink and paint and got a discount through the Duran Duran account at the stores. They did a terrific job in the shower and in preparing the wall for painting. I was originally apprehensive when Ernest Duran showed up to give me an estimate and didn't have any blank contracts with him. He told me that plumbing and electrical work would be done on a time and materials basis, so I did not expect a precise estimate. He gave me a ballpark figure and warned me when we were likely to exceed that estimate and why. I had a lot of confidence in his experience and honesty, so I was comfortable in having him complete the job. His team did a great job of cleaning up every evening when they were done working and were mindful that I had two doggies that weren't allowed out of the house.

I'm over the moon! I called him because he was the closest to me, and a referral on Angie's List. Ernet is very polite and thorough. Although he ran a tad late in meeting me Monday morning, after seeing what was needed, he could do the work the same day, took into a second day because paint was not dry. By the time I got home Monday 7/2, my deck was power washed and my bathroom had the carpentry done, and today the deck was sealed and stained and the bathroom had lights and mirror installed.

The job went very well. He maintained a very clean environment after each work day. The only snag was when some of the vinyl came in the wrong color and had to wait on the special order. The problem on the rear wall was due to water damage from windows that had never been installed properly and gutters not sitting correctly.He seemed to understand how to methodically use his crew and worked quite efficiently and quickly. He was prompt in returning phone calls from the start of the project. He estimated the job on the basis of what he could see. I understood that the price might vary depending on additional problems which would arise, which they did. He may good suggestions to install an outdoor electric outlet, matching paint colors to the bars, changing locks to one key for convenience. He replaced an outdoor light because one of his workmen had accidentally broken the glass. He regularly returned to finish up small details of molding,removing paint from window, the alarm system, etc

After setting up an appointment on a Monday to give us an assessment and estimate, Ernest Duran (company owner) came out on the following day to look at our situation. He indicated that was able to schedule the work for some time the following week and would call me on Saturday to set something up. I did not get a call on Saturday and called him on Sunday leaving a message asking for a call back. He called first thing on Monday and indicated that he and his team could do the work on Wednesday. They came out at the time promised, completed the work quickly and were done in around 5 hours. The work was completed in a timely fashion, the work area was left clean, and so far, no rain has entered the house. Mr. Duran called a few days later to see if we were satisfied with the work and the end result. He was very professional, prompt, and thorough. He indicated that he was willing to perform other small jobs, I would definitely use his services again.

We had a leaking skylight. We knew from talking to people we trust that it was from condensation. Some repair guys told us we had leaks on the roof and/or needed a new skylight and some never showed-up. Earnest took one look and said it was from condensation and a piece of plastic could stop the leak. After the quote he came back (reasonably close to on-time), cut plastic to fit, scraped damaged paint, re-painted, cleaned-up and left. It took about 4 hours, he had one assistant with him, and the work looks good to us. As of now, I would recommend him.

I found this service to be above expectations in politeness, cleanliness, and timeliness. It's hard to find all of these attributes these days.
