Can't recommend these lovely folks enough.
Our project was really on the and quot;smalland quot; side for a lot of contractors. (We live in a 800-ish-square-foot condo, so really any project in here would be and quot;small.and quot;)
Most people would have gone with a handyman instead of a full contractor just to remove a couple of walls, but living in a condo with strict rules, we wanted to do things by the book. As such, many companies wouldn't even deal with us because the job was too small. Cal and Liz, on the other hand, were an absolute joy to work with and even looked for ways for us to save even more money, despite the fact that we were already handing them a fairly small job. I never felt like we were being upsold or pressured into anything. And as it turns out, we are thrilled that we had Cal and Liz's expertise to lean on because a couple big issues cropped up on the very first day, and they were able to handle them with ease.
It was fantastic that either Cal or Liz was on site almost every day to check on the work. I feel like that is also a pretty old-fashioned, high-quality touch.
And most importantly they did a fantastic job. They were very prompt with responding to little (and big) issues that cropped up along the way and came up with really smart solutions for unseen problems. We love the way our place looks now and absolutely would use them again.

Domain provided an excellent, detailed, and well-priced estimate for the renovation of two bathrooms in our 1935 house. In addition, knowing that we were operating within a budget, they took extra care to give us a wide range of potential options and cost-saving measures that we could take in order to achieve the results we were looking for without breaking the bank. They also provided references and photos of other similar work they had done.
Ultimately, we went with a different contractor, based on a few personal recommendations. But we would have been 100% comfortable working with Domain as well.

Domain arranged for a sub-contractor to install hardwood floors in our kitchen and to tie them in and match them as much as possible to the existing dining room wood floor. They were great in communicating with us the process and dealing with our schedules and in working with the contractor who was re-doing our kitchen. The whole process took several days which was mostly the refinishing part and Liz and Cal (from Domain) were awesome as were the subs. The floors look great and match very closely and we will enjoy them for years to come and think of Domain! We will definitely call them again if we need any similar work.

Domain Construction is very easy to work with and I have recommended them to friends and neighbors. They provide very detailed estimates and communicate well every step of the way. It is a pleasure to work with them. My basement looks terrific.

We were absolute novices at remodeling when we took on this project, and Liz and Cal and all their crew were great to work with. They were always patient, polite, and cheerful, and their work was meticulous and safety conscious (a big consideration when you're having a wall taken down in an old building where EPA asbestos abatement requirements must be followed). They were sensitive to budget considerations and creative in coming up with ideas for working with the quirks of a building that's almost 90 years old.

We definitely want to use Domain for future projects.

From my first contact with Domain to the completion date, they have been responsive, professional and a delight to work with. This company is organized and clearly dedicated to their clients. Any questions I had were promptly answered via e-mail. During the project, Cal kept me up to date with status reports. The job turned out perfect!! Would definitely recommend them! The estimate process took longer than I would have liked, but it was a very comprehensive quote that was great for comparing to others.

They were really great and very professional. They got everything done on time. They charged exactly what the estimate said. I only had one or two other bids and they were about the same price. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Domain Renovation is a top notch company that did a great job remodeling my basement. Cal saved me a lot of money with his suggestions and they’re great! Their crew was professional and competent, and the job was completed well within the promised time frame. I can’t wait to have them work with me when I’m ready to do my kitchen.

The bathroom was a wreck and was badly in need of remodeling. The pipes leaked, the tile on the floor and walls was cracked, and the electricity was from the 1950's. From the first minute that Cal and Liz of Domain Renovation and Construction embarked on this remodel we were impressed. They gave us an estimate that was exactly correct; there were never any financial surprises. Prior to Cal and his team gutting the bathroom, Liz, as the designer, sat down with us to review and advise us about the products we wanted to have installed--down to how the floor tile should be placed to make the room look larger. Every step of the way Cal and Liz kept us informed about the progress of the project. Cal and his crew were meticulous about keeping the house free of construction debris and dust. Cal and Liz are are great team; they are prompt, courteous and very personable. They were extremely considerate of all members of the household during the project, even our curious cat. I am extremely pleased about out beautiful new bathroom. I hope to be able to work with Domain Renovation and Construction on future projects. They are, in a word, wonderful. T

They did everything right. They were especially valuable in helping us to work through what we wanted. They were very attentive and professional.

They were great to work with. When they came to give an estimate and we asked about a potential structural problem, they reviewed it and decided they didn't know enough to answer and recommended a structural engineer who was reasonably priced and very helpful. Other contractors we had talked to thought they could figure it out. Cal and Liz were right to recommend a structural engineer. Also, in addition to the major work, we had done, we had a lot of small, annoying projects and in general, both Cal and Liz were very patient, helpful and accommodating. When we decided that we wanted to downsize the work we had done on a second bathroom, they were completely understanding and had great suggestions for how to do it for much less money. Overall, working with them was a very positive experience.

Excellent...the kitchen turned out beautifully! I appreciate the quality of work and the crew's professionalism and attention to detail and the project stayed on budget. Liz is awesome in designing the project. Cal kept the project on track, was at the project every day, and is extremely clean cut and very easy to deal with.
