From the start it went poorly. Steve was always very late. His drawings lacked detail and thought. His final drawings had the windows in the master bath sitting well below the tub. The HVAC would not work, it was designed to come up in the middle of the jacuzzi tub. The bathroom was designed, and then built to the specs he drew, but none of the fixtures would fit because he did not allow for build out. Where the old house met the new, there was a roof beam running right through the doorway. He never made allowance to move the roof line. A major structural flaw. In the end the linen closet was removed to make the bathroom compliant with code. All chase walls originally built for the HVAC were useless and have now become odd unusable space breaking up the rec room and the master bedroom above. The main drainage stack had to be moved, electric for stove and microwave had been omitted and I've had to figure out the kitchen layout, fireplace construction, bathroom myself.
