Superb Service. By the time I spoke to Vahdat I had done a lot of research, both in terms of talking to electrical professionals as well as doing my own. It would not be saying enough to say that Vahdat quickly took stock of my issues and concerns and dispatched them with in a timely, cost effective way. Although he did just that, there was much more that he did as well. Before he did anything, Vahdat took the time to patiently listen to my concerns first before going through the house and taking inventory. Instead of 'dictating' to me what had to be done, as other contractors had done, Vahdat first addressed my concerns, and explained what how he proposed to resolve these concerns. What I found most impressive was his scrupulous honesty toward defining the level of effort required, and how he would approach the work. Over time Vahdat's comments and recommendations proved to be accurate and prudent, which has led to multiple work efforts over the last year. I would recommend Dena Electric for any type or kind of electrical work in my home, without reservation.

Overall, I was very happy with the process from the initial phone call to the final safety inspection. I had done my homework by getting three contractors from Angie's List and HomeAdvisor (sorry Angie, just doing due diligence) to provide quotes so I could then compare and contrast. The contractors were all well recommended on Angie's List and HomeAdvisor. Their quotes did vary by several hundred dollars but I went with Dena Electric for three reasons: 1) they were the most cost effective, 2) Mr. Marghi who came out to quote the job would be the one to actually do the work, and 3) I simply felt more comfortable with Mr. Marghi. A trifecta. For me, I liked the fact that Mr. Marghi would be the one to do the work and not just provide the quote and then hand the job off to someone else that I hadn't meet in advance. Just me. And since no one would be home when the work was done, I REALLY had to feel comfortable with the contractor-- Mr. Marghi provided me with that gut feel that he was honest and trustworthy. When Mr. Marghi showed up to quote the job (around 5pm), he stopped at the main entrance, bent over, and put on shoe covers. Wow. The first of several positive twinges in my gut to let me know he was ok. Either that or it was just me feeling guilty for walking across my floors and carpet with my shoes on :-) He took the time to explain the process and answer my questions. He even offered some input on some work I was doing in the basement. We chatted for a good 30 minutes. Another positive twinge in my gut that he would take the time to actually have a conversation. The weather didn't cooperate the day we planned for him to come and do the upgrade. It had to be dry outside for him to safely do the exterior electrical work so we rescheduled. Once he started, the work took him one day--about 8 hrs. Here's what he did: 1) Removed the old panel and breakers in basement and installed new panel and breakers. 2) Ran two new ground wires from the new panel (one to the inlet water supply line and another to a new ground rod installed outside by the electrical service). 3) Ran a new 200 amp service wire from the peak of the house down to the electrical meter and down into the new panel. Mr. Marghi called me at work to let me know the job was done and he was leaving and locking the house. The one thing I didn't expect was how long it would take for Pepco to get off their @#$%^ (or perhaps work through their list of other jobs) and finish the electrical connections outside my house. Pepco took well over three weeks but nothing to do with the work Mr. Marghi did. Just be aware your electrical company may take a while to complete the upgrade. Mr. Marghi pulled the permit to do the work and put me in touch with the electrical inspector to arrange a final check of the work. It passed. Highly recommend Dena Electric.

One word to discribe service.... AWESOME! I have a fuse box 100 amp and wanted to up garage to 200amp circuit breaker. Mr Marghi worked around my schedule. He was very professional and explained step by step in details the process. Everything went according to plan. We scheduled it for Monday July 16th and I was without power from 10am-2pm as was told and the next day the inspector came and I got a Green sticker and thumbs up!!!! Now I wait for Pepco to do their part. I'm so excited! Price was GREAT and so was the service. Very neat and clean. My box was labeled for me... So no guessing games there either. Like I said.... AWESOME!!! This is the man for your job.
