I been going to them for many years. They were very honest and very good mechanics. They never recommend things that I don't need. They are reasonably priced.

They do quality work.  Their customer service is very good. If there is anything that needs repaired on my car they will discuss it with me.  They never do any unnecessary repairs. I've never had any problem with any of their work.  They have a quick turn around time as well.

To take the short story first: The check engine light came on. I brought the car in, and the gentleman said, look, it's coming up with a catalytic converter code, and that's going to cost a lot of money to replace, so let me reset it and we'll see if it comes back on. Here's where the customer service was a little less than amazing--as a neophyte who hates cars I really didn't understand that it was possible the Cat would last a lot longer, and the gentleman seemed to be a bit annoyed with me since I was trying to figure out whether he was just wasting my time. (Coming back is a pain in the neck!) At the same time, he was clearly showing how honest the service is--he could have just replaced the Cat right away. As it turned out the light was back on within the month, but having discussed the service I received with people who have more experience, I took it more gratefully.
For years we've been trying to figure out where the leak in the air conditioning is, damage from an accident. Shops including this one have put dye in and it's not evident, but this summer it finally became evident and BP Burnt Mills replaced my compressor with speed and diligence.
Earlier this year my brakes were making a horrific groaning noise and BP Burnt Mills fixed them.
I tend to feel awkward, like I'm begging, when I ask for a ride home, and like they don't handle it in a way that lowers my anxiety over being a burden--can't you just tell me how long I'm going to have to wait? But all in all the service is prompt and reliable and excellent and I will continue to return as we approach the end of my '03 and my '97.

After shopping at Trader Joe's on Colesville Road, and filling the trunk with several bags of food, some of it frozen, on a hot August day, the car wouldn't start. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I went to Burnt Mills Citgo next door and asked for help. They sent one their mechanics back with me; he examined the car but couldn't start it. He reported back to his boss, who sent back three mechanics who pushed my car back to their station, thus saving me time and a towing charge.
It turned out that the car needed a new alternator, which they had to obtain from an auto supplies store. They did the work as fast as they could, and even let me store some of my perishable groceries in the station's refrigerator. I've had no trouble with the car since them.
This was an unfortunate situation, but it couldn't have worked out more fortunately. I highly recommend Burnt Mills, and look forward to returning for non-emergency situations.

I was initially disappointed in the work. I found that the new part did not seem to dim appropriately when headlights were shining in the back window. I talked to them about it and they confirmed with me and with the warranty company which part was ordered and sent. I then took the car to the dealer to see why the dimming feature wasn't working. They checked it out and did something minor and said it was fine. However it appears that this mirror does not dim very well and I think I got an inferior part due to working with the warranty company, but I can't trace that. I'm not sure of the source of the problem for that repair, but am disappointed in the part.

I took the car back to them a few months later to replace the timing belt. They did that job fine, and there was no warranty company involved. And, they gave me a discount on that work because of our difficulties with the rearview mirror.

I like the folks at the station - which is now a BP. I dealt with the owners and senior business managers who have been there for a few decades and felt confident in them.

I have used this Service Center a number of times and have nothing but great, positive experiences there. For this particular instance, I called them as soon as I was told my car's Power Steering Belt needed replacing. They were able to see me right away. They explained to me the process to replace it and made sure I was comfortable with everything before starting the work. They had the part delivered and installed within one hour and I was on my way. Their service is always friendly and efficient. They do a wonderful job of setting my expectations and of explaining things in detail. It's a family-run establishment which makes me like it even more. Marty and Mike have been there every time my car has needed servicing; their staff is of the same high calibur. I am happy to have found a mechanic that I can trust and that provides excellent service. According to my most recent receipt, their proper name is Burnt Mills BP ServiceCenter. Not sure if you want to update their name on your profile as the gas station attached to their ServiceCenter switched to a BP about a year ago.

I think they are honest. I have done price comparisons with the Toyota dealership and Burnt Mill's is less expensive. I think they take good care of my car.

I took it to them for years. They were very reasonble and there were never extra charges. I completely trust them. I used them from '93-09. They fixed the car quickly. I have very high respect for their work. I will keep using them.

While driving on the 495 beltway, my right front tire blew up. A Good Samaritan (Arthur) stopped and changed the tire. I drove with the temporary donut tile to the nearest auto service center -- Burnt Mills CITGO (soon to be BP). Mike Dustin said he could service my car in about 30 minutes. I gave Mike by cell phone and walked to the nearby Trader Joe's. When I didn't answer my cell phone, Mike came looking for me! Mike wanted to show me bald the 3 other bald tires (which had 60,000 miles on them). Mike gave me a good price on the good-quality Cooper tires ($467.96). He promised and delivered the finished job in 30 minutes. The total labor cost was only $64. I highly recommend this family-run Burnt Mills auto service center.

They got a great deal of work done in a matter of only one afternoon. I dropped it off in the morning and had it back by the end of the workday. They explained very clearly what was going to be done and how much it was going to cost.

I was notified by the service center that the charge would be $1,250. That included $500 for a tune-up. I told the service center I didn't want the tune-up so I asked them just for the regular 90,000 mile service. I know that's at least twice what I would have paid at another service center. I decided to go ahead because I didn't know where else to go. I have no complaints about what they did. My complaint is just for how much they charged.

They gave us an estimate of $1100 which included the tune up. We asked them not to do the tune up but still ended up with a bill of $700.
