I was very happy with the job Blue Lakes did for us and would recommend them to friends and family. They did a great job cutting our grass, and barring bad weather showed up the same day every week.

They mow the lawn every Tuesday. I am not crazy about them. It is twenty bucks a week and they do a twenty dollar job. You get what you pay for. They come when they think they can. If it is raining they come Wednesday or Thursday. They never talk to me they do the job then they are gone. I would rather get better care but for the money it keeps it a little bit clean.

I inherited their services from the previous home owner. I've used them now for 2 years. The price is fair and in line with what others in the area (Brookeville) charge for the size of my yard. They show up promptly every week. I have never had a problem with billing. Though it would be nice if they had some online payment or auto-pay setup instead of having to send a check in every month. In general they do a fair enough job. My only complaint is they use a wide riding mower and speed-mow my lawn. Which sometimes leads to tall pieces of grass that were missed. A little more attention to detail and a second trip across the yard to hit these patches would turn them from a B to an A+.

BESIDES COMING A DAY LATE AND SHOWING UP @ 615PM there was NO EVIDENCE OF USE OF ANY EQUIPMENT EXCEPT A WEED WACKER....EXCUSE: THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM FOR OUR EQUIPMENT TO BE USED ON YOUR GRASS...NOTE THERE ARE NO IMPEDIMENTS IN THE FRONT TO PREVENT A WALK BEHIND MOWER TO CUT THE GRASS; WE LIVE IN A VILLAGE TYPE COMMUNITY THEREFORE THERE EQUIPMENT CAN EASILY GO BETWEEN OUR NEIGHBORS HOUSE AS DISCUSSED W/OWNER TO BACK YARD; THE LAWN SECTIONS IN THE BACK YARD ARE BIG ENOUGH TO BE CUT BY A 30-36" WALK-BEHIND MOWER THEREFORE THERE WAS NO EXCUSE NOT TO USE EQUIPMENT.....NOT ONCE HAS THE OWNER SEEN THE PROPERTY HIMSELF! Sent text, sent email to owner on 4/15/16 saying I wasn'the angry but basically the svcs provided were not preformed as discussed..NO RESPONSE FOR 4DAYS!!!! Asked him one more time to respond by calling me and he did...this time he gave nothing buy excuses without really knowing the issues at hand...I really did not want to just come out and say that it looked like your crew knew it was late, thought no one would care or notice took two weeD Wacker and WACKED the **** out of the lawns down to the DIRT , but said to him listen you came highly recommended I expect no less than the excellent service you advertise, I will be here the next time your people come to cut the lawns....he said ok, if it works ok if not we stop! I AM IN THE PROCESS OF LOOKING FOR ANOTHER SERVICE!

Blue Lake Landscaping did mow and trim my yard every week as requested. They did not provide very good customer service . I called them several times asking them to call me - over 6 times - to talk with someone about my lawn and received one call over the 6 months that they mowed my lawn. They could have called me and came over to talk about what services they offered but they did none of this. They were initially hired by my father in 2014 but my father passed away January of 2015. I decided to let them continue doing the lawn but needed to talk to them about several things pertaining to the lawn. When we had the dry spell in August and September I could not water the lawn and it no longer needed to be cut since a lot of the grass had died. I called them to tell them not to cut the lawn at this time and also when I put new grass seed down not to cut so the seed could take but they still cut the lawn. There was 1 time that they did not cut the lawn after I asked them not to. I think I asked them not to cut the lawn for five times. I was disappointed in the fact that I told them I had to take care of the lawn now and wanted them to talk to me about the lawn. They do a good job when they cut it and trim but are not good at reaching out to customers after you call them.

I was given the name by one of their customers and they also left a flyer in my mailbox.  I spoke with them probably 6 times to come out get a quote to have some work done.  They kept telling me they were going to stop by and when I followed up the woman who answered the phone would say she would call her boss because she couldn't understand why he hadn't been out.  I'm glad their business is so good they couldn't even ever make it by!

They consistently do a great job at a great price. This is my second season using them.

Mulching and grass cutting are top notch at very reasonable prices. The estimator was on time and provided the estimate on the spot (no waiting for it to come later in the mail). We signed the contract right then and there, but were not at all pressured to do so. We actually had to grab the estimator out of his vehicle before he left our property. I've been very pleased. I only wish I could pay the monthly bill with a credit card. However, the grass cutters are very accomodating about taking my check so that I don't have to waste a stamp.

I've been using Blue Lake for several years. They have provided punctual, no-frills mowing and trimming at a consistently reasonable cost. I also use them for gutter cleaning.

No problems with them. We'll continue to use them.
