It went very well. 1. Our old faucet was leaking and not repairable. Warren told us which brands of kitchen faucets to buy at Home Depot. We bought one and he installated very easily. 2. Some plumbers would have sweatted in new shutoff valves, but Warren was able to change the washers and it worked. 3. The contractors hadn't installed the shower plumbing correctly. Warren repaired the installation. Warren is an excellent plumber. He has done very high quality work for us before.

Warren Gartrell responded immediately, found the hidden source of the leak, and replaced the leaking section of pipe. Excellent work!

Bennie is very good. He's very responsive so when you call he comes! He's a little more expensive than the average plumber, but he's very good with hot water heating systems. He repaired ours that had needed a lot of work.

A friend referred me to Gartrell 10 years ago and I have used their services since that time. Both Benny and Warren worked on my kitchen remodel and were always punctual, courteous, highly experienced, and honest in their pricing. I recently called them regarding a minor bathroom leak. They came out the next day and fixed the problem within the hour. Trustworthy and proficient in every regard.

SUPERB. Getting Benny Gartrell's help on this job was one of the only two things that have gone well with my purchase and move into my new house. He was punctual, professional and most importantly, 100% honest. I could trust his advice, and trust that he wanted what was best for me. Such a relief from the corrupt and dishonest world of people I have had to deal with in the process of purchasing my first house. I am so grateful for Benny's help and happy that I know who to tun to when I need help with any plumbing-related issues that might come up in the future. I wish there were more people like him out there. I could go on, but in short: you can't go wrong with Benny, he's worth every penny.

I am very unhappy with Benny. He left many important items unfinished, and almost all the work he did do had to be redone. Considering he received $18,200 for a fairly modest installation, which I thought was high to accommodate the detail-intensive work this installation required, I did not expect this. Work that he never did: He never returned to install the whole-house water filter, never roughed-in a hose bib for the front of the house and never provided a back-up drain for a 2nd floor humidifier, all of which were included in the contract. This was not for lack of me calling to prod him to come back to finish this work over the course of a year. The first two calls, he said he would schedule something "later," but he eventually stopped returning my calls. Work that was done wrong: Almost all the work he did had to be redone. He roughed in a shower that was going to be less than 30" wide (which violates local plumbing code), vent pipes sloped the wrong way in the middle of a run (which could cause problems with sewer gas escaping from drains--a big no-no), and he roughed in both shower valves so that they stuck out too far (beyond the manufacturer's recommendation, which was marked with stickers on each valve--hard to miss). Also, he soldered pipes after connecting them to the rough-ins, which damaged both valves, which cost me $400. Damage caused: Benny also cut into an open-web joist to install a shower line, which is a big, big, big no-no (that compromises the joists strength and could lead to that part of the floor collapsing). He could have run the shower line 1" to the south and avoided that problem. He could have also told me about it after he did it. Of course, he didn't. Also, he cut so far into wall framing at certain points that the framing was useless and had to be rebuilt. He had his own guy inspect it and got a plumbing approval, but spoke with a city inspector about the slopes, cuts and measurements, and he told me it should not have passed. The only thing Benny was good at was billing me quickly and then charging me interest while I withheld payment until he corrected problems with his installation. He was slow and eventually completely unresponsive to correct anything that was incomplete or wrong.

After trying many other plumbers, my neighbor recommended Warren Gartrell of Gartrell plumbing. So, I made an appointment with Gartrell plumbing to repair a very slowly draining bath tub and a running toilet. These have been recurring problems, and other plumbers who have come have spent hours trying to fix them with less than perfect results. Warren Gartrell arrived on time and took less than 1 hour to finish both projects. He was very professional, explained the problem, didn't try to sell me extra parts, and offered to come back if I had any problems. I will definately call Gartrell plumbing for any other plumbing problems I may have in the future.

I will have to replace the drain pipe, which I will contact them for. They are a low key company that offers competitive prices. It's a local family owned-business. I've been using them for over 15 years.

They came over to look at it and said it was not a leak, but, it was an issue with the tiles in the bathtub which was causing the water leak. He recommended a tile person to us. He spent quite a bit of time here to evaluate the correct problem. He did not do any work for me and charged 136 dollars for the inspection so that seemed kind of steep to me, but, I am not acquainted with what plumbing prices should be. He was here for about 40 minutes and it required quite a lot of effort to find out the exact problem. He did what was necessary, so, I think I would use him in future if needed.

I couldn't have asked for a better business to do such a small job - they were very prompt, he even had to go tto the supply house for one particular part, returned and completed the job promptly. Very efficient, pleasant and just a great professional. Will be having this company in again to replace several other problem areas of plumbing.

Arrived exactly at promised time. Had all the necessary parts and tools. Worked quickly and efficiently. Cleaned up afterwards. Extremely professional and pleasant. I have used this plumber for all my plumbing work over the past several years and have always been extremely happy with his work.

They don't try to over-sell. I had a problem with a defective toilet that they installed. They made it good. It was a year later, and they took care of it. They didn't charge me any extra, and I didn't ask them to do that. Their prices are very reasonable. They are professional. I have an older house, so I use them frequently.

Benny was great. He came up with a solution to reroute the waste water pipe that did not involve tearing up my kitchen floor or basement. He limited deconstruction to the wall behind the dishwasher. He started promptly at 9am and worked straight through the day, not wrapping up until I had full use of my plumbing system at 7:30pm.
