Artisan Windows

Went extremely well, contractor showed up, worked around the social obstacles nicely (for the next 3 years my ex-wife lives in this house I own) and produced an excellent finish.  I would write more but there is so little to say about a perfectly executed job.

We are thinking of using them for the third job.  They do a fantastic work, but they are a little bit pricey.  That is why I am going to look at a few other companies before we do the third job.

Artisan gave me a good quote to start with. We had to negotiate some finer points. He worked with me to save me some money. When I told him I wanted to spend less he found way for me to get done what I needed to get done ad save some money. I appreciated that. He was willing to negotiate and give me options and guide me through the process to not over spend but also not scrimp on quality. The crew was professional and efficient and worked hard, dawn to dusk.

Buying new or replacement windows can be pretty daunting - think numerous choices, a wide range of prices, and pushy salesmen. We have some previous experience with different window companies both good and bad, and Artisan Windows falls squarely in the "good" category with a knowledgeable salesman and no high pressure tricks. After my first phone call to Artisan, Kelly (the owner) promptly scheduled an appointment to see the existing windows and review some options. When he arrived, he took some measurements and gave his opinions on a few different options that we could take to install new windows. He followed up a few days later with some price quotes for different options, and he was open about the cost and time required to complete the job. I did some research on the different options, and Kelly was patient as I asked questions and suggested even more options. When we finally settled on a window size he put in the order (they were delivered from the factory) and set a tentative installation date. Once the windows arrived at the Artisan office, Kelly confirmed the installation date and then he and the installer arrived as scheduled. We decided to have full-frame replacement windows as opposed to insert replacements for a variety of reasons, and this meant we would need some extra carpentry work to change the size of the window openings and make everything fit. Artisan was very adept at dealing with some existing "creative" carpentry in our 50+ year old sun room, and after two days the new windows looked even better than I expected. Overall I was very pleased with the service from Artisan and I would happily recommend them.
