Neko has been going to Arlene G. for more than 5 years and they always treat him kindly and take good care of him.  He needed the blood work to prepare for dental cleaning.  The only disappointment was that I couldn;t get an appointment for the dental work until mid-September.

They're really, really friendly and we like all the vets there.  Their front office staff is very friendly and helpful.

As far as pricing, I have reason to believe this veterinary practice is fair. I have confidence that the medical advice that I was given was good. The advice was a second opinion and it matched the opinion of another veterinarian at another practice. I have never been able to see a veterinarian or vet tech quickly at this animal hospital. I've always had to wait significant time. The staff is friendly but not always diligent in filling prescription dog food. I was sold multiple cans of a prescribed dog food; Unfortunately, about half of them were not the type that my dog needed. 

I will only say one thing.........Do not leave your pet alone with them!

I have 3 cats. They are compassionate and knowledgeable.

The interaction went very well. They treat pets and animals very well. The vet is friendly. They give good explanations, and they're thorough.

We were worried. The vet is Arlene Gardsbane. Dr. Gardsbane has been our veterinarian ever since she opened her clinic about 15 years ago. She has been the veterinarian for all of our rabbits. She has seen all of our pets from the time we started going to her. Because we value the way she takes care of them, we keep taking our pets there. We spent a lot because of the surgery and medication. Dr. Gardsbane did not do the surgery. I think it was an appropriate cost for the surgery that was done. The price included the surgery, the biopsy, and the medications. The surgery itself was $81.00. The biopsy was the most expensive. The animal recovered in a healthy way and had no discomfort during the recuperation. It was good to know that they were there to take care of him.

They were wonderful.

I first came here because I was thinking of accepting a cat from an acquaintance who could not take him to a new apt and wanted to know the cat's condition. The vet was wonderful, letting me know what problems he had (and I ended up adopting the cat precisely in order to be sure he got the treatment he needed). She was gentle with the cat and straightforward to me. She has taken care of him during the past year and now also cares for the rescue kitten I adopted a few months later. I have been very happy with this office. Vet care is expensive but their prices seem consistent with or less than others I have seen and the staff is very nice.

It has been an pleasure dealing with this vet's office. They are very friendly both on the phone and in person. In addition they were nice to both me and my less than happy cat. They finished the exam in a good period of time, and reported on the blood work when they said they would.

Dr. Gardsbane is a terrific vet. She is confident, has good clinical judgment and answers all of your questions without you feeling rushed. We have been going to her for several years and are very happy with how we are treated. The office staff is friendly and very helpful. I also like that the receipt tells you when the next prevention items (heart worm, annual physical, vaccine, etc) are due.

Moved to the Aspen Hill area and needed a new vet for my two dogs. Went for check-ups for both. While they are expensive, they can usually get me in right away and offer all kinds of extras including boarding and grooming. Owner Dr. Gardsbane is very professional and nice. Technicians and assistants really made my dogs feel welcome. Only negative is that one of the vets (Dr. Wichhart) lectured me on the raw food diet I was feeding my dogs. I didn't much appreciate that she thought I was some nitwit who hadn't done research on my pets' health.

I always look forward to going back, because everyone there is such a pleasure to see. They are friendly and professional and always remember me, even when it's been a long time since my last visit. I have, on three occasions, brought my animals in when they were having serious medical issues, and each time they were cared for by Dr. Gardsbane as if they were her own. She has repeatedly gone above and beyond the call of duty for my family, and although I have moved several times around the area since we started going there, I have never and would never consider changing vets. Dr. Gardsbane is the main veterinarian and she is great. Good with animals and people. Very thorough in her exams and explanations, but doesn't try to push you into going overboard with unnecessary tests or vaccinations. The clinic is also very prompt with returning phone calls and calling you with test results.
