Amazing. Phil is a mouse expert. He searched every area on the exterior of our house and found where the mice have been coming from. Made sure all our holed were closed off and had great tips. Outstanding job.

After we made contact, we were told a staff member would be out before noon. Paul arrived earlier than that and began to investigate after my husband explained the situation. He examined the location (by then the scratching had stopped) and other areas for signs of wildlife. Didn't find anything but said the most likely culprit based on sound & location was mice. He gave recommendations of areas we should have sealed up. (And sealed up a larger possible entry point next to our air conditioner.) We didn't hear any more scratching, but our cats caught three baby mice a couple of days later. (No adults, though.) We were pleased with the service and would hire them again, especially if we decide to seal the smaller holes.

Awesome. As always. Paul and Donna are always great to work with. He’s trapped squirrels and mouse-proofed the house and always identified the potential weak points.

Phil was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He was able to make recommendations not only about possible mouse entry, but about other construction needs as well. He is very personable and knowledgeable about construction as well as about pests and their habits. He was prompt and took all the time needed. He was superb; if you think you may have a pest problem, this is the service to contact.

From the start, A T&R Trapping Services was on top of everything. We submitted our request for assistance via Angie's List and heard from Donna almost immediately to schedule someone to come out and assess our situation. Donna was extremely pleasant, well spoken, and clearly presented what we should expect before a technician came out. The technician, Phil, arrived the following day at the exact time they told us to expect him. He was very courteous as well and made the whole process so much easier. Having a squirrel burrowing into your house is obviously quite nerve-wracking and again A T&R made this process a breeze. Phil performed a complete house walkaround to identify all the potential areas where we could experience problems as well as additional problems he noticed that we hadn't (a nest of swallows in some dislodged gutters). He then addressed the squirrel situation and explained what he was going to do before he conducted any work. He made sure I understood everything and asked if I had any questions. He then proceeded to install the traps and explained that he'd be back to check on them periodically to ensure we get the "right" squirrel as others may be snacking off the traps. It was a great surprise to come home from work and know that I didn't have to be around for him to come by, check the traps, and eventually seal everything up. He called me after his visits to give me a status update. After the squirrel situation was addressed, he sealed up the whole with some aluminum siding to match the surrounding soffit and it looks great. Once the work was wrapped up, Donna swung back into action, called with a status update, and let us know that they would be back out to check on the nesting swallows in a couple of weeks to ensure mama swallow had time to raise her new young so they could remove the nest and seal up the problem area. All in all, great service, great work, great company! Will use again (but hopefully we don't have to!!). :)

Scheduling with Donna was very easy and she carefully reviewed what would be done and approximate costs for each service. Phil arrived punctually and was extremely personable and professional. He addressed our concerns, performed  extensive and thorough inspections of outside of house from the ground and by ladder while photographing areas of concern, both house and garage attics and certain areas within the house. He carefully reviewed his photos and findings with us including recommendations and alternatives. He is impeccably honest advising major repairs including complete roof replacement to be done by others rather than "trying to make a sale" by recommending partial fixes to by done by them or things that one might be tempted to try but which would not be effective. They will be returning to install metal flashings& caulk around condenser lines entering the attic. I would highly recommend them for any wildlife control needs.

Phil came out and talked to us about his services.  He got information from us so that he could locate the traps in the best places; when the traps initially failed to catch any groundhogs, he moved the traps based on where I had seen the groundhogs the day before. On the following two days, he trapped a mother and younger groundhog!  (Also a squirrel which was released.)  There is still one trap left in case there are any more groundhogs under the deck.  A.T. and R. is excellent!  I recommend them highly!  I wanted the groundhogs removed humanely rather than exterminated and this worked really well.  It is also refreshing to have services provided by nice and knowledgeable professionals - we couldn't be more pleased with the services provided by A.T. and R.

Working with AT&R has been a bright spot during an otherwise grim period when we are dealing with rats in our ceiling. When I first called, Donna talked me through the entire process of what Phil would do and what it would cost. She patiently entertained my "what if" questions, too. Phil spent more than two hours conducting the initial assessment, looking for entry points inside, outside, up and down. He found nothing. He provided a very detailed written assessment of what he found and recommended some improvements that would lessen our vulnerability to intruders. Then he recommended a smoke test, because the rats were most likely coming through the sewer system.
Phil and his partner arrived on time for the test and went right to work. There was a lot of walking throughout and on top of the house and discussions between the two of them to figure out where the leak in the system is. Finally, Phil told me where he thought the leak was, showed me a video of the smoke test, and cut a hole in my kitchen ceiling to physically lay eyes on the rotten pipe.  Unfortunately, Phil is not also a plumber, and so we'll need to get someone in to replace our main stack. But Phil screwed the drywall back in place, gave me some pointers on what I would need to make sure the plumber does (like close up the ceiling if he can't finish the job in one day) and next steps for catching the rats once our plumbing is fixed.
It is clear that Phil really enjoys his work. The amount of time he spent looking, taking pictures, and explaining things to me made me feel comfortable with the work he did and gave me a plan for how to clear my house of unwanted boarders.

I had been hearing something walking around in my attic so called my roofer and another animal-trapping company (also rated good on Angie's List) to come out and check. My roofer responded first and discovered that the roof ridge vent was crushed and the attic fan was busted. A big chip had been taken out of the cover of the fan, and there was a hole bent inside the fan where it seems likely that a squirrel accessed the attic. The damage to the ridge vent and attic fan most likely happened when I had my roof shoveled off after the last 9.5 inches of snow in March.
Because of potential further damage from spring rains, my roofer went ahead and replaced the ridge vent and attic fan. He even fashioned a wire screen around the attic fan. When he found a squirrel-size tunnel under the insulation in the attic, he recommended that I call off the trapper for now and offered to put a humane trap in the attic and see if he could catch the animal. I called the trapper back to cancel and got some belligerence.
The roofer set the trap, and I continued to hear the scampering noise in the attic. The roofer returned to check the trap, and no one was in it. It had not even been touched. He assured me that the roof and attic were tight (he had been on the roof and in the attic repeatedly to check since this problem began) and that no animal could get into the attic. At that point, I decided to get back on Angie's List and find a different trapper. I called A T and R and spoke with Donna. She sent Paul out on April 23 to inspect. Paul checked out the attic but did not find evidence of an animal. He said that if an animal were trapped in the attic with no food or water, I would hear a lot of racket, not just intermittent sounds, and there would be evidence of gnawing. If an animal were trapped in the walls, I'd hear scratching and chewing. While I had thought I'd heard some similar noises, they were momentary and could have been noise from the neighbors on either side (I live in a townhouse) or something outside since I had my windows open in the warm weather.
Paul recommended a heavier metal screen around the attic fan, which I decided to ask him to install. The screen is guaranteed for 5 years and will even keep out raccoons. I have not noticed anyone walking around in my attic for the past several days, but if the noise returns, I'll ask Paul to come back and set traps.
I certainly appreciated A T and R's prompt and courteous response to my problem, and I feel confident that they will be able to resolve the situation if it ever recurs. Thank you, A T and R!

Phil arrived early and was very professional.  He went over our entire house inside and out to determine how mice were getting into our basement.  He located the source which was under the step from the garage into the house.  He plugged up the hole with a sheet of aluminium and sealed it with silicone.  He then told us how to set up traps and we were successful in finally trapping the mice.

I was referred to this company by Second Chance Wildlife. After doing extensive research online, I found that the best wildlife trapping companies are always affiated in some fashion with a wildlife rescue/rehab center. I spoke with Donna over the phone and right from my initial contact with her, knew that this was the company I wanted to hire. I had contacted other companies and just didn't get the confidence feeling that I did when speaking with Donna. She offered extensive advice on dealing with our situation on our own (as we had initially attempted to do) and said to call her back if we needed the pros! Well -- we did indeed call back and had were so pleased with the expert sent to our home. All our questions were answered (I had a list!!) and most importantly, we wanted the squirrel(s) caught humanely and released in a new location with minimal stress to the animal(s). We were completely assured that this would be the case. They also performed repair to the access hole and did an excellent job of even matching the house paint colour. They guarantee their work for 5 years which is also a plus. I highly recommend this company!

They remove many types of critters from your yard. They're very professional, they're not cheap but other places were priced similarly, they explained everything to me such as what they were going to be doing and how everything will happen. So far their services have been great and they have caught one or two. The pest control segment of the service will be done after they are sure that they have gotten the squirrels that are between my roof and my gutters. Then they will seal off that area. The last time they were here was this morning. They've been here everyday since Monday. The evaluation and the trap they charged $400 and then once they are sure that they have caught the critters then the sealing off will cost us another $400.

I had an initial visit to scope out the problem - I had mice. The visit was informative, and I was given what seems to be sound advice. To cover and caulk areas in the basement where there was evidence of mice coming into the house, and to set up traps. I was given advice on how to set traps, and an estimate for the work to cover the various holes. I decided to have ATand R go ahead with that work, and it was done within a week. I have caught a couple of mice and the problem seems to have subsided. I found the service from ATand R to be very friendly, informative and efficient.

The animal inspection was done quickly and made us feel much better. While here they noted that the vents in the attic to outside could allow a small animal to get in. We made an appointment and they installed grates over the vents. They said that they would send a bill. After not receiving a bill we called and were told that they mailed it. We now have a bill in our hands stating and quot;past dueand quot;, however it has our neighbors address on it. Tough to pay a bill when we don't get it....

I called Donna on a Monday to report the problem, and Phil was there early the next morning! He was very professional, courteous and friendly, answering any questions and freely providing ideas about how to prevent/spot problems in the future. His written analysis of the problem areas and recommended actions was VERY thorough and understandable. He explained the actions in layman's terms, helped to prioritize them and did NOT attempt to sell the lower priority items. After deciding on the remedial work, he returned promptly as scheduled and completed the work across several visits (nature of the work - install trap, let them exit, ensure they're gone, remove trap), eliminating the bat problem pretty much immediately. We have recommended ATand R to several neighbors for similar problems, and they have all been very pleased.

Fantastic!! They were very responsive when I left a message (Donna even called me from her vacation to give me the information and to set up an appointment), came on time, and Phil was beyond friendly, professional and courteous. He got the job done, and he did so with a very friendly, pleasant, helpful attitude. He took a lot of time to explain how the animals got in, what we can do to keep animals out in the future, and he never seemed rushed or impatient.

I hope never to have to call them again, but if we do, I would call them in a second!

ATand R was fantastic. My townhouse is very narrow and tall (4 stories), and ATand R must have had to make at least 20 trips to the roof. They set a trap and check it every day to see if a squirrel had been caught. The trap eventually caught one squirrel, but a second squirrel was much more elusive. At one point, it seemed that the second squirrel may have eluded the trap, exited the dormer (probably for food), then re-entered. ATand R set up a more sophisticated trap for the second squirrel and eventually it was caught. They then patched the dormer -- it was basically the place where the dormer met the roof, and they used some sort of metal to ensure that a squirrel could not chew through it. Four years later, I am still squirrel-free. I really appreciated that ATand R set a flat fee upfront, and never charged a penny more, despite the difficulty of the job.

Phil was extremely knowledgeable and inspected our house and garage and identified the visitor that had been leaving droppings in the garage. Luckily the shrew had come and gone and was not a permanent resident! He was very careful at looking at every aspect and identified several areas that were potential areas for animals to enter. He gave us a complete estimate and pointed out that some things we could do ourselves. We had them do all the suggested repairs.
The work was completed quickly and Phil and his brother are both top professionals, kind and did a great job.

I called a wildlife control company to figure out what the mysterious banging noises in our house were. Phil arrived on time and was very friendly. After listening to our description of the noise and a thorough check of our house, Phil concluded that the noise was not coming from an animal. Then he proceeded to help us locate the source of the problem - a plumbing problem!! He went over and above what I expected - I am very grateful that he was able to locate the source of the problem. I would definitely recommend A T and R!!
