Jim and his crew were both punctual and professional.
I work from home and was present during the entire job.
Change orders were explained completely and I was offered solution options for the few unforeseen problems that arose.
(floor and walls were untrue, some product was out of square etc)
We did run into a setback where the cabinet manufacturer sent non-conforming and damaged product. This put off our estimated completion time. Jim had other commitments but made time for us once the correct cabinets arrived. That was greatly appreciated.
A foyer closet (next to the kitchen) was added as well, everything is plum and true. He also fashioned from his carpentry workshop a custom built shelf for our micro-wave which looks fantastic. The backsplash to our kitchen counter is perfect. Laser Level perfect.
The only mistake that was made was by me (sort of). When it came to floor work, I chose the grout color that was initially installed with the old kitchen (We kept the existing tile and expanded into the foyer area and new closet.. Unfortunately the new grout lines were much lighter than the old due to age etc. This looked terrible. It was an easy fix with grout stain, suggested by Jim, and now you can't tell the difference.
I've found Jim to be honest and fair. There were surprises to our checkbook. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of craftsmanship. Two thumbs up for Vertex Carpentry.
