Tutoring
The Tutoring Center recently opened in Severna Park near the end of the 2013-2014 academic year. Starting last April, we enrolled our daughter who is in Middle School for tutoring in Math. She has ADHD and has a very difficult time grasping the concepts in math.
I am pleased with the set up and progress thusfar (although my daughter still has a ways to go to catch up to grade level). The director, Theresa White, will help design their curriculum to support what is being taught in school (including the Core Curriculum).
In our case, she attended a meeting we had with the school teachers/administrators to discuss our daughter's special education needs and how to best teach her. I was highly impressed with her personal engagement. Additionally, the Tutoring Center does not require a long term contract which means that they have an incentive to show positive results quickly.
