I'm completely happy with the work MacMedics did for me. They did with repair within 48 hours, kept me up to date with every step via emails, and finally, used their resources to get the repair covered so that it cost me nothing! 100% happy!

Last fall I took my "vintage" MacBook Air in for a diagnosis when it seemed to be dying. The cost of bringing it back to life would have been almost as much as purchasing a newly refurbished MacBook Pro that Mac Medics had for sale. I trusted these guys based on their stellar reviews and the fact that their computers come with a 1 year warrantee. My Mac has performed flawlessly! Now, months later, I had a problem with the charger failing to charge. It turns out that it, too, was covered in the warrantee. The guys at Mac Medics are friendly, professional, and brilliant!

I took my phone to MacMedics to get the battery replaced, I had taken it somewhere else and they told me I would need to be prepared to leave it for 2-3 days. At MacMedics, they asked to keep it for 2 hours, which was wonderful news! I think the repair only took about 30 minutes, which was even better! I would definitely go back to MacMedics. They are great!

Service with a smile! My 13 year old dropped our family MacBook Air in such a way as to destroy the monitor in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday. We dropped it off to MacMedics by lunchtime, and have it back now, before supper on Tuesday. These folks couldn't be nicer or easier to do business with. They have treated us like family for over 25 years, and we couldn't be happier!

They provided information as to what services were available and what parts I needed to order. They allowed parts to be sent directly to them. They performed the work quickly and efficiently. When I arrived to pick up the iMac they powered it up to show me it was functional and that the drives were installed. Much easier that going to the Columbia Mall Apple store or BestBuy Geek Squad!

On 5/13/15 while visiting a youtube music site updating my music playlist, my MAC computer was infected with a scamming virus claiming to be from Safari with a phone number to call to fix the virus.  I shut down my computer and called MacMedic (whom I purchased the computer from almost 4 years ago).  MacMedic told me not to call the phone number on the screen as it was bogus and to bring my computer in to the shop.  When I brought the computer by, two of the employees immediately started working on the problem and were able to eventually delete the virus.  When I asked how much I owed for their services, they said nothing, as I purchased it from them.

It went fine. It took them a few days to fix because it had coffee spilled on it. They were very quick and the price was fair. I would tell friends and family that they will do a professional job and it would cost about half the price of Apple.

Unfortunately, my issue was an internal flash drive malfunction beyond the ability even of the geniuses at MacMedics. After checking my computer for about a half hour, the tech informed me that my data might be retrievable in a "clean lab" - where the uber-geniuses wear ty-vec suites and dust is mechanically sucked out of the air before it touches anything. He gave me contact info. for that + paperwork about backing up my files in the future. I felt like these folks really knew what they were doing and tried their best to resolve my problem.

First of all, I have three things to say: "use them", "use them", "use them".   Initially I spoke w. their technician, Chris over the phone, who encouraged me to use their in house lab services, costing $199.  After having my computer fixed, I bought additional memory, by my request for $85. One thing that was re-assuring was Chris's people skills. He assured me that they will find some solution and that they could take care of the problem. During the repair process, Chris stayed in touch and told me his game plan, this wasn't a simple fix; especially since another company wasn't successful in resolving my problem. Side note: after having my problem fixed - A college kid came in disheartened, having her hard drive quit. Watching Chris at work, reassuring  by giving her a plan of action and a worst case scenario - you could see the change of this clients demeanor, to that of calm in a matter of seconds. I have no doubt that he had another happy client.
Thanks again!!

From time to time, I call with a service question.  Everyone I speak to is polite and very helpful. THEY SPEAK ENGLISH, not just COMPUTER-ESE!

I have been using them for more than 20 years, and they are exceptional in all respects.  They communicated well about the problems and availability of parts, and they finished the work a day early.  Furthermore, the price was fair.

I added a Seagate external hard drive to my iMAC and by accident loaded some Windows based software onto my Apple computer. The end result was that I was unable to start my computer. I called several Computer Tech company's to help me and it was going to cost several hundred dollars to fix the problem and would take several days. Bad news, I needed the computer running immediately and paying several hundred dollars was not a good thing.
I decided to look for a local company that specialized in Apple computers and found MAC MEDICS. I called them and explained the issue and the tech person thought he knew how to fix the problem. He walked me through several steps over the telephone but could  not get the computer to work. Unfortunately that meant I would have to bring the computer in. I got to the store later that day and the technician who helped me on the phone came out to take a look at the computer. Fortunately it was an easy fix and he got the computer running correctly.  He explained that this was a common problem that he has seen from customers. How much did he charge me, $0.00!
Wow what a company! I will definitely use MAC MEDICS in the future. In fact I purchased from them  an inexpensive service plan for this computer.

On top of everything, they are rude. Even the receptionist, Tinika, was obnoxious from the second we walked in the door. No smiles, no "thank you for your business"... just give me the iPad and get out.
Response from Mac Medics
"We repaired this iPad’s glass, as we’ve done many times before. The metal back of the iPad was also damaged ever so slightly, so we thought the repair would be successful without also forcing the customer to also replace the back case of this iPad 2. The repair was a success and the client picked it up. A few days later the customer was back and had broken the glass again by trying to install a tight fitting iPad case. We told the customer we’d replace the glass again free of charge as they thought there was something wrong with our repair or the glass we installed and we’d also get the iPad into their case for them as well. We replaced the glass a second time, and we ended up cracking that glass as well by trying to get it to seat properly while trying to install the case that was provided by the client. We had no way to replace the case back of this Verizon iPad 2, as that part was not available. We told the customer, that unless the back case of the iPad 2 was also replaced, the glass we installed (or anyone else) would continue to crack. We refunded the entire repair cost; we let the customer keep the new glass we installed (with small crack). The client also revealed to us after we had already performed the first repair that a 3rd party replacement warranty had also been purchased on the iPad 2. If the customer had mentioned that fact at drop off, we would have advised them to seek that route instead of a repair from us. During the repair and during the entire time the unit was here, Dana Stibolt (the owner of MacMedics) stayed in touch with the customer. Based on our communications with the customer, they gave us the impression that while they were unhappy we could not help them they were satisfied with the final resolution by us refunding their entire purchase price and letting them keep the part we installed. To us there was nothing that could be done to satisfy this customer. We’re also disappointed that in all of the review across the Internet this person left, it was never mentioned that an entire refund was given."

In addition to doing an excellent job, the owner, Dana Stibolt, spent a lot of time with me on the phone explaining my options. He worked me in that very day, and completed the work in less than two hours. I was very impressed. Although it was quite a drive from where I live, I would go there again should my iMac need service again.
