We had the car towed to Walt Eger’s Service Center and explained the problem to Mr. J.D. Gillespie, their service adviser/writer. They were able to diagnose the parasitic drain issue to the right rear door ajar switch, the wires of which were cut in a previous repair attempt. Walt Eger’s was able to replace and retire the door ajar switch and we’re very comfortable knowing they did the job right as they guarantee their repairs for 36 months or 36,000 miles.

Work was done well. Time to get the work done was expected because it happened over Memorial Day weekend. Pricing was outrageously over priced.

Radiator work went well. However, they took my car to a local car wash without my authorization and this resulted in damage to my car. My antenna was destroyed, I have a huge/deep scratch one of my windows, and 2 small paint scratches on the same side. I brought this to their attention and Mike (their front office guy) said he would contact the car wash, since they made the damage. He completely failed to acknowledge responsibility for the damage, even though I did not authorize them to take my car to a car wash, and tried to tell me they went out of their way to get my car cleaned for me. If you are going to do stuff to customer cars without their approval, you need to accept the consequences if something goes wrong. It has been 2 weeks and I told Mike to have the owner call me, I do not expect a call as they have yet to return any of my request for callbacks. They are claiming the car wash owner is hard to contact, which doesn't matter to me one bit. The car was in their possession and they are responsible for the damages.

Did not bring the vehicle in immediately but made an "appointment" days later for first thing on a Monday so that we could "probably" get it back in one day. However we did not even get the estimate call until the afternoon of day 2. By then I was not readily available to the phone for an hour or two. My wife tried to be nice and not hold up and waist the shop's time as well as get her badly needed vehicle back that day. So although she knows nothing about auto mechanics she trusted this shop because they had been honest previously and statements made by the owner and his TV commercials. She approved what probably should of been no more that a $1400 estimate that had been inflated to $2300. By the time I found out I thought the job was almost done and it was too late. However we did not here anything the rest of that day and the whole next day. Just before closing the next day (day 3) my wife called and was told that a part had just come in. They called just before closing on day 4 and said the vehicle was ready. A sensor that I can buy anywhere for $130 was charged $481.00 to the bill. The transmission fluid had been replace with full synthetic 27,000 miles previously. Way short of a due service interval. The two serpentine belts had been replace by this same shop 20,000 miles previously. The two front calipers probably weren't worth replacing on this 17 year old vehicle. I don't know about the two rear shocks. When I asked to see several of the old parts I was told they had already been put in various large piles with other parts somewhere out back. (The only thing that was done fast.)

HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!! These guys prices are WAY above what they should be. Their fee for inspection is $109. I found out later that other places charge between $60-$90 tops! Well, then they did find that I needed all new brakes (rotors, pads, calipers) on my Dodge Ram 2500HD truck. I expected the cost to be high on a heavy duty truck like that but they quoted me a price of $2900!!!! Yes, that is in thousands!!! I asked them repeatedly to show me an itemization of the parts and labor and they hedged and dodged my request and would not provide that information. I don't know why they wouldn't show me that information but it raised red flags and that just seemed incredibly high. So I went somewhere else and got the exact same work done... with a lifetime warranty... for $1900. That's $1000 less... yes, one THOUSAND!!! How on earth can they justify charging $1000 more than someone else for the same work??!!! That is utterly egregious!!! Since then I have seen other reviews on Yelp that mention them overcharging for work. I feel like they are gauging their customers unfairly. I will never give them my business again and I will tell everyone I know to steer clear as well.

The experience with Walt Eger's shop was as good an experience as I've ever had with auto repair. They were wonderfully professional and cheerful. The work was done quickly and done right. This shop is the one I'll use everytime from now on.

Emailed Walt Eger Service Center and asked how much an Oil Change would be if I supplied my own oil and filter. I got a reply back that it would be $21.99. I made an appointment and got the oil change. I was handed a bill for 43.99. I told them I was told it would be 21.99. The guy acted like he was doing me a favor by lowering cost to 25.00. While he was processing the charge I found the email that stated 21.99. He ignored me. I completed my transaction and left. I had heard nothing but good things about Walt Eger Service Center but this has really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Every once in a while the brakes have a hard time stopping the car, as if only one rear caliper were engaging - happens maybe once every couple of weeks, usually under sudden braking. Walts team checked it out but couldnt find anything wrong with it (i expected this would happen) - in my opinion a sign of honesty. I decided to have all calipers replaced so it would be safe for my daughter to drive. price included tax and was about $500 less than the toyota dealer wanted. Very satisfied and will be taking my vehicles there for servicing when needed.

When we got home the doors wouldn't lock and it thought a key was in the ignition. This was Friday afternoon, couldn't use it all weekend took it back on Monday. No real apology, counter not very professional. Found other work the car needed we were not expecting. Over priced.

Engine was destroyed by a mistake made from an auto body shop (fail to put he radiator clamp on). My wife was off the road and broken down. Used Angies list to find the nearest reputable mechanic. What a find. They were extremely professional, worked to explain the scenario to the body shop. the body shop then agreed it was their fault and paid them to install a new engine. I have new faith in my body shop. Mistakes happen. Owning them rarely does. Especially when its expensive and they could argue it wasn't their fault. | |I think I found a new shop for all my car work. I did not pay the bill so I cannot qualify the cost.

As I needed a car and their loaner vehicle wasn't available, I made arrangements to bring it in early in the morning so that I could wait for it. (They have a very comfortable waiting area. :~) ) When I arrived, I was told it would be about 1.5 hours as they needed to finish a vehicle from the day before first, so I went into their lounge/waiting area to pas the time. After about 50-60 minutes, they said that it was all set to go. As I checked out, they mentioned a couple of things they noticed and said that I should consider having them done sometime, but there was no rush on them.
This is not the first work I have had done here, and they always do an excellent job. They also stand 100% behind their work and will make your repair a priority if it has to come back for something that they serviced - especially if it was the latest service visit.
I would highly recommend them. Even though you might be able to get the work done for less someplace else, I doubt that you would get as much customer service at most other places. You get what you pay for, and Walt Eger delivers consistantly high service.

There was an issue with steering wheel vibration after the alignment. I'm not sure it was the shop's fault, but they balanced the wheels to correct the issue at no additional charge. They were professional and accommodating, and I'll use the shop again.

I trust Walt Egar's and his people to do honest work. He has always come through for me and as a mechanic myself It's not hard to conclude when people are truthful and fair with maintenance and repair. Walt Egar has built a repair business on truth and honesty and he will be there for a long time.

My husband really likes him and refers him all the time. They are very happy with him and take everything down here. Everybody is courteous, a nice experience, the area is clean, and a really nice place to go into. People are friendly, helpful, and accurate on the time it takes to fix the vehicle. They did a lot of work and the price was reasonable.

The radiator was leaking water. One of the mechanics noticed a long hairline crack on the plastic portion of the radiator. I brought the vehicle in one day, and picked it up the next. Excellent work and friendly service.
