"Actual account of what happened - 1) you came across our que as an inquiry for service. When I spoke to you on the phone and through my needs analysis of your inquiry, I personally told you that you should consider replacing the system due to the age instead of trying to repair it. You quickly declined this option and said that you would get someone else. 2) you then proceeded to call Rocky directly as an alternative to my recommendation because you have done personal business with him before outside of Angie’s, but decided to use the public platform as a complaint forum because you were not satisfied with 3 weeks of back and forth escalated complaint resolution from Angie’s . 3) Rocky told you that you should replace the system as well. You asked for it just to be repaired. We found the leak and repaired it per the work order that you agreed to and signed. The compressor was working at the time. 4) you called days later stating that the unit was down, and we went out again to service you. At which point we told you that the compressor had seized due to the age. This is a separate issue which you were made aware of and presented an estimate for replacement. 5) you were not happy that you had to pay twice for something that you should have done once with a new system had you taken our recommendation and demanded a refund. 6) 3 weeks later after deliberation through Angie’s, you are able to finally post this complaint in spite even after we told you we understand your frustration and were willing to do a deeper discount for you with the purchase of a newer system, but could not provide you with a full refund for the 13.3 lbs of refrigerant replaced and time spent (which we also discounted as a return customer discount) on your system for something that was completely separate and were completely transparent about FROM THE BEGINNING about in regards to replacement vs repair."
