We noticed that our hot water heater was leaking at about 3:00pm on a Wednesday, and Brian came out an hour later. He drained the hot water heater and did some prep work, and came back out with his team at 8:00 the following morning. In less than two hours, the new hot water heater was installed and running smoothly. I cannot recommend this company enough! Brian, Noah, and Sam were all very professional and courteous, and the entire process was smooth and positive.

I liked original phone response of owner, Mr. Spurling. He asked the right questions to assess my needs. And I was impressed with the knowledge and skills of installers Joseph and Sam. Removal of old water heater and installation of new one took about two hours.

From start to finish, our experience was EXCELLENT! The quote came in very competitive against two others for the same product. Joseph the installer walked me through the process and how they were going to do it. He explained all the new codes that required a bladder tank etc... After the job was done Joseph showed us how to operate the water alert device and to change the battery annually just like our smoke detectors. They were very respectful to my home; laid down drop clothes, wore cloth booties over their shoes, etc... and the install took less time than they initially quoted. To top it all off, the area of the install is cleaner than when they found it. - Super Satisfied with a Job Well Done!

Awesome! I had a vintage system in my condo closet that presented some challenges. Brian really did a great job. Problems were solved, all my questions were answered, all my concerns were addressed. Their response was faster than the other four companies I contacted. I got an excellent quote, a thorough review and the next business day I had a new system! It was clear to me that Brian and his team were more than capable of handling the project. I’m glad my new water heater set up is now “to code” and I have hot water! Great value for their experience, knowledge, and water heater installation, even putting the doors back on the wheel tracks. Highly recommended!!

I'm impressed! My sump pump went out on Sunday & Brian had his team here Monday morning to replace it. Joseph & Sam were great, they were on time, and they even cleaned up the area before they left. Would definitely recommend them and am planning on using them for my next plumbing project.

Had a leaky faucet causing water damage under my kitchen sink. Brian came out at 8 am the next day and got it fixed (installed the replacement faucet I had purchased) as well as replaced a leaky outdoor spigot. Years ago, Brian also installed my sump pump. He is super knowledgeable, laid back, and friendly. He's up front with costs (of which are very reasonable) and work quality is excellent. I'll definitely be calling him for future plumbing needs.

Modern Plumbing Services did a GREAT JOB! They were very knowledgeable about what I needed, professional, on time and equipped with PPE and very friendly. I would highly recommend this company. I needed a particular kind of water heater and he found it for me.

Brian from MPS was one of the few plumbers I found who was willing to give me an estimate. He talked to me about the replacement of my water heater, as well as several other smaller jobs I needed taken care of. His estimate was accurate and he was able to get everything done in a pretty short amount of time. I’m very happy with the work and also with his professionalism and the advice he gave me during the job. Would definitely use again for any plumbing work.

Went like magic. Immediate callback, knowledgeable chat, good brands, next-day availability even though non-emergency, very competitive price, punctual, friendly, 2-hour swap. I never had an urgent service need filled so well before...this is how all service should be but rarely is.

Brian was very easy to work with. He responded promptly to my request for an estimate--some $400 lower than another quote I received for a comparable unit--and was able to fit me in the next day. He explained the issues thoroughly and courteously. He completed the work in the specified time frame and cleaned up afterwards.

Brain was fantastic and very accommodating of our schedule and time. He immediately took care of the problem (a stuck faucet that made our new washing machine inoperable), and when he was done, we walked around the basement with him giving me some tips on plumbing items that my Wife and I have been considering. He even recommended against something that we had been thinking about a water heater and instead recommended something less costly and more reliable! I will have him to back soon to do more work and I highly recommend Brian and Modern Plumbing Systems. I found my new plumber!

I wanted preventative replacement of the inside mechanisms of the toilets in my house, as well as water supply lines to sinks and toilets. Brian at Modern Plumbing Systems told me it wasn't necessary, but I told him I'd rather have him replace the parts preventatively than after a failure/flood. He estimated the work and came back a few days later with the parts to do the work. He told me the greatest risk I had was the washing machine service lines, as they were rubber and 15 years old. I happily had him replace those parts with new stainless steel braided parts, as well. This is the second time Brian did plumbing work in my house, and I'm very pleased with his work. I will call him again when I need plumbing work done.

Brian, the owner,  was extremely responsive, very informative about water heaters and installed my new water heater the same day. I received a new 50 gal electric water heater including delivery, installation and removal of the old unit.  Brian and his assistant did a great job and were very neat in the process.  The final price was actually slightly below the estimate.  I was very happy with the results and would definitely use Modern Plumbing Systems again.

My water heater was getting old, and since I didn't have a drain pan under it I decided preventative replacement was in order. Brian, the owner, responded to my call and we talked through water heater options. He recommended I go with a larger water heater than I had, as the cost is about the same in purchase price and operating/electric usage. I did some more research and found this to be true, then asked him to install a more energy efficient unit that they normally install. He gave me a very reasonable quote for the installation, and he ordered the water heater.
Brian isn't always great about responding to email, but that's really not a problem. He not only is the plumber, but also runs the company, so it's understandable that he can't always respond to emails in a timely manner. He is responsive via phone, though.
During installation, Brian and his assistant were careful in my home and left it clean after installation. The cost was hundreds less than any of the other quotes I received, and the work was very good. I will call Brian the next time I need plumbing work.

It went great. Brian and his assistant used a bigger cable with a sharper cutting end to clear the roots from the houses out-flowing drainpipe. The first company I hired just didn't have the equipment or the technique to get through it. Brian was cautiously optimistic that he could clear the drain. It took him a few hours because every time he'd cut his way through one clogged section, the camera revealed another clogged section further down the line. He was persistent and inventive, and --voila! -- he cleared the drain, showed me the full lengths of sewer to be clear of clogs, and charged a very reasonable $700 for the many hours that it took.

I gave Modern Plumbing an A on punctuality because while Brian was unable to meet me as originally scheduled for our 8:15 service call, he called me the day before to explain the job he was currently on would require him to go back and finish the next morning. I not only appreciated the advance notice so I could plan my day but he also called me at least twice the next day to keep me informed about his schedule. When he arrived, he imediately fixed my leaking valve in my basement and even showed me how to do it in the future if it became an issue. We then looked at the outside faucet that was leaking as well when I first tried to turn it on for the spring and after turning on the outside valve, the faucet worked fine without a problem. Brian explained what may have happened the first time I tried to use it this year which I thought was very helpful. After all was said and done, Brian didn't charge me anything for his visit. He appears to be an honest contractor that I would not hesitate to call in the future for my plumbing needs.

Brian came out the same morning that we called after a very rainy weekend with a broken sump pump. I purchased a new pump on my own and only needed an install. Brian was prompt, polite, professional, and let me watch him and ask questions in case I had issues again. He also replaced the check valve that was defective and reconfigured some pipes that had been installed incorrectly by the builder. He also carried away the old pump without asking.
Brian is very neat and clean, wearing booties as he enters the house. We have used him in the past for a toilet install, and both times he has carried away what was removed without asking. He is also willing to explain what he's doing and answer question. I believe the charges have been very reasonable for the services provided.

This company and owner is AMAZING!! He was the first to call and offered to come out and give me a free estimate and I was so happy with the customer service and pricing that I had him stay to complete the job. There was no BS and as in other reviews that were given on his company, he looked at my current project going on and gave very helpful advice. He will definitely be doing ALL
of my future projects. If you want quality work at a great price look no further.

I was very please. Brian took the call, scheduled and made the appointment on time, and not only fixed the problem, but changed some things so that I would not have the problem again as I could clean it myself. Great service and great price. Highly recommended.

My kitchen sink was clogged very badly. I called him at 6pm, he was at my house by 6:15pm. He worked on it for over an hour and successfully got it unclogged. He gave me helpful tips to ensure it didn't happen again and even gave me some tips on future projects I spoke to him about.

Brian and Modern Plumbing Systems was recommended to me by a friend. I just moved into my first house a few days before, and there was a small gas leak in the heating system. I called Brian in to take a look at it. He took a while to get back to me, but when he did, he set an appointment quickly. I was outside of his usual work zone, but he came to my home anyway. Brian was very friendly and professional.
He checked the system for leaks and did not find any when the system was off. He turned the system on and while we waited for the system to warm up, he asked if there was anything else he can look at. For no extra charge, he tried to work on my seized garbage disposal (with no luck), inspected all the pipes in the basement including looking at the crawl space, checked all faucets and toilets for leaks and made some important recommendations to me about my garden hose system, which was improperly installed by the previous owners. He even showed me how to replace the garbage disposal myself if I did not want to call a professional to do it! Once the heating system was up and running, he fixed the gas leak and checked the entire system for leaks the home inspector may have not seen. Even with all of this and despite taking longer, he only charged me for one hour of labor.
Brian is a very professional, laid back and efficient plumber. He showed a lot of care with the work he did for me and seemed very knowledgable about his job. I always worry about being overcharged or being recommended work that is not necessary, but I had absolutely no sense that Brian would do this. He was extremely honest with me about things that my home inspector said should be updated but he felt were not necessary, despite the fact it would bring him more business.
I absolutely recommend Modern Plumbing Systems and will use them again if ever I need to.

Our hot water heater started leaking on a holiday weekend, so we knew that it might be very expensive to replace it, more so than normal due to the holiday. My son looked people up on Yelp while I checked out Angie's List. Plumber after plumber in our area would not provide emergency services for hot water heaters, some telling us that it would take up to a WEEK to get back to them. The first people I tried were the ones who'd fixed our air conditioner, but they didn't handle hot water heater emergencies, only HVAC (even though they advertised that they handled hot water heaters, they said they only had one guy and he wasn't available).
We were frustrated beyond belief when we called Modern Plumbing Systems, LLC. They came out promptly, evalutated and stopped the leak, removed and replaced the hot water heater, even answered my son's questions on the main shut off valve. The owner was a model of courtesy, efficiency, and kindness. He was done in no time and the hot water heater has been working great, much better than the old model he replaced.
THE PRICE WAS EXTREMELY REASONABLE. The plumber cleaned up after himself when he was done, and made sure the hot water heater was working well before he left. There have been no more leaks. The hot water is readily available and in far better quantities, and it doesn't take as long to heat as the old one.
This plumber is perhaps the NICEST one I've ever dealt with in my 60 years. There was no attempt to sell us things we didn't need. We have never had to call him back because something wasn't performing well a few days later. The repair has been solid for 2 months now.
I would recommend Modern Plumbing Systems, LLC to ANYONE who needs plumbing work done. We need work done in the bathroom and once we decide on it, we plan to call them to see what would be involved in replacing the tub/shower with a handicapped shower system.
