Lowe's Of Severn

They didnt install the refrigerator at all, left it unplugged in wrap even though we paid for installation. They installed the washing machine water lines backwards, had to make them correct it. We were them promised 10% off our next order but when we tried to redeem they refused to honor it. Worst customer service ever. Lowes management literally lies to your face.

Lowe's subcontractor, MK Windows installed 31 Pella vinyl windows but 10 were crooked. Windows were fitly; MK stated they don't clean windows. Also left glue on windows from Pella stickers. Pella Series 350 windows have zebra stripes on window sash, gouges, scratches, cracks in window frame trim probably from crooked window install. Life time warranty is worthless if they never fix/replace windows (it has been 7 months). Lowe's is aware of problem but has refused to manage their subcontractor. Photographs of damage windows sent to Lowe's from Dec. 2017 up to Sep. 2018. If you want a quality clean vinyl window installed correctly do not buy from Lowe's Severn, MD and maybe any Lowe's store. Do not buy Pella vinyl windows and do not have MK Windows as installer.

Worst home improvement experience ever.   Homeowners had to act as project manager over entire process.  Lowe's showed no experience in managing its general contractor (GC), exhibiting a complete lack of control.  Many erros by Lowe's and GC caused significant delays and resulted in mediocre workmanship.  Project went an entire month without anyone on the job.  GC made multiple mistakes and always had a ridiculous excuse for why it was done that way.  Homeowner had to demand these things be corrected, which took weeks and months.  GC left black and white electrical wires exposed inside an island drawer and stated homeowner should resolve.  Very sloppy work.  As the problems continued, Lowe's distanced themselves with the salesperson who guaranteed excellent workmanship disappearing completely onto other projects.  No one from Lowe's did a final walk-through. 

They are very careful about installing. They did a good job.

The job went well overall. They were very good in installing the doors, taking the time and making sure they worked all right. It is a good place to get doors and have them installed. They are actually tied to other contractors and they installed the door like two or three times more than what their price was. So I thought they were expensive but I also found out that they were very cheap. To install a door, it is like $150 which sounds like a lot until you talk to contractors that won't touch it in less than $300.

The two men showed up early on Wednesday morning, it was raining, they ensured that drop cloths were laid down to prevent our new carpet from getting ruined. The men explained each step of the process and even made gave us some ideas to prevent and damage to the door from the elements. They finished job on time and made sure that we were extremely satisfied before they left the premises. They were professional and very friendly toward us the customer.

My wife and I went to Lowe's to look at replacement windows and Adam set up an appointment to for Troy to come to our house and measure the existing window. We were told t he new window would be in April 20th and that Troy would contact us. We took that to mean that Troy would contact us when the window came in. When he didn't we went to the store and saw Adam again; he said Troy would be in on Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

On Saturday, after calling the store eight times and asking for the millwork manager, and getting hung up on on the 8th attempt, I
called six times and asked to speak to the store manager. With no success in that venue we went to the store (it's only a half mile
from our house). We went directly to millwork and found a very polite young lady working the desk there.I asked for Troy and after multiple attempts was told that he had left for the day (it was only 4:45). I asked her to leave a terse note to Troy about getting our window installed; she advised us that the installer, George, has two business days to arrange a time for the installation and that he
didn't work on weekends, so she said he had until Tuesday evening to contact us. When we got home from church Sunday afternoon
we had a phone message from George. My wife called him back and the instlalation was scheduled for Thursday, April 26 at 1:00 pm. At just after 1:00 George and his work crew showed up. The first thing that struck us was that the work crew comprised all American men. When they came into the house they were clean, very polite and extremely efficient. They had the old window out and the new window in in just over an hour. They were also easy-going and humorous.

I would definitely purchase more windows and doors from Lowe's if I knew George and his crew would be installing them.

So far everything has been wonderful! Troy helped us to select great windows for our home that are energy efficient and nice looking. Troy came to our house on time. He had his installers there before he even showed up to ensure that he could build the windows that met our specifications. All in all we have received top notch customer service. If you are looking to replace the windows in your home, I would highly recommend that you go to Lowes in Severn and wok with Troy. He will make it a delightful experience.
