Service was exactly as expected. They reviewed precisely what they were going to do (repair balky mower, replace air filter, sharpen blade), and gave a time estimate on when the mower would be ready. The mower was actually ready a few days ahead of their estimate. It is once again functioning well. I would use this company again for equipment repairs.

My LawnBoy mulching mower had given me years of excellent service until I moved to this area and took it to a local small engine repair shop for annual servicing--after which its performance steadily declined. I was considering disposing of it altogether the first time I tried to use it this season, because it had become impossibly hard to start, and the engine would choke after just a few minutes' operation. In desperation, I went to the LawnBoy website to see if there were any authorized dealers in the area, and found Gambrills Equipment--a luck break for me! I e-mailed George Pusloskie, giving him the age, model, and serial number of the machine, and a description of the problems I was encountering, and asked him if he thought it would be worth repairing? Sight unseen, that was of course a difficult question to answer definitively--it would depend on how extensive the needed restoration might be--so he suggested that I bring it in and let him take a look at it. If it were going to cost over $100, he'd let me know before proceeding, but since this was a top of the line machine and it was otherwise in good condition, he thought it was worth examining.

George both picked up and delivered the lawnmower--cleaned and polished, restored to its former glory, and fully, gloriously operational for less than $130--including pick up and delivery! He explained what he'd found (and though I'd spent $150 having it--supposedly--overhauled the season before last, he said the blades hadn't even been sharpened, and the carbuerator was shot.) I already knew that the primer pump--a rubber and quot;plungerand quot;--was badly cracked and torn.

George was punctual, responsive, knowledgeable, fair, and highly professional in his interactions with me, and I would not hesitate to recommend Gambrills Equipment to anyone who has tools in need of expert repair. When you find someone like George, there's no need to look for competition. He's a treasure!
