D & T Heating and Cooling

I found this company on ServiceMagic.com before I had joined Angie's List. They weren't rated since they were considered "new" so we figured we'd be fair and give them a chance....big mistake! Two guys came and only one had a clue about how to do anything. They were totally unprofessional, tracked mud all over the house, started smoking midway through the job and used my bathroom w/o flushing. They didn't even have the tools they needed to properly handle freon and asked us for plastic buckets with warm water to keep it from freezing! Then the other guy takes the long way out of our house even though we had specified the more direct route through the garage (no stairs involved here)...meanwhile he's tracking mud and nearly spilled the hazardous material going unnecessarily up the stairs while taking the scenic route out of our house! I ask them for the bill and cut the check so they can get off my property w/o causing more damage or requiring a hazmat team! Then the other guy gets offended that we don't want to use their company for the repairs! Amazing that they're still in business, and who knows if their trade license is even valid. Lesson learned: don't use unvetted contractors. Complete waste of money and time. Worst HVAC contractor ever.
