Mike and his team did a wonderful job! They were always punctual, clean, professional and efficient. The work product is excellent! WenCon put all other contractors to shame - from initial estimate through to completion. Mike and his team were always honest and there were never any contractor and quot;gamesand quot;. Mike was very professional, and did a great job. He was upfront about all expenses, and explained everything as he went. There was an issue with the cable outlet, and they came back out as soon as we called and took care of it. WenCon was a great company, and if I have another project down the line, I would not hesitate to use them again. Overall, a great experience.

Mike Wenig is the owner of the company. He was the first contractor to give us a call back and arrange a time for an estimate of the work. Mike's estimate was complete and reasonable. He listened to the specifics we mentioned and asked pertinent questions in order to include all items in the estimate up front. He was one of the few contractors that was willing to use the existing rough in for the bathroom. This was huge and others were insistent that digging would have to be done at additional costs. His estimate was the best one we received and he was available to start work immediately the next Monday. Each day of work, Mike would clean up the work space, including sweeping of the floor! This made it nice to come down and review the work done each day. During the framing stage we worked with Mike to get the best use of the space, including how to handle the furnace area in the middle of the basement. Mike oversaw and coordinated the work of the Master Plumber, Master Electrician, Flooring installer and Painter. He completed the framing and drywall work himself. He was able to incorporate changes to the basement as the project progressed and documented the changes with pricing up front. We worked with the plumber to install a utility sink and still have room to store a refrigerator. The plumber and Mike came up with a unique solution to moving gas and plumbing pipes to keep the need for a bulkhead in the ceiling to a minimum. He was also able to work out the addition of a wet bar/sink area into our plan. I was also happy with how the two closets I requested turned out to add additional storage to the space. We worked with the Electrician to create additional outlets for the cable and internet. When it came to getting the painting done, he provided color choices and even got a sample of the paint color up on the wall so we could see how it would look. We ended up changing the paint color, after seeing it on the walls to a lighter color. The flooring installer came out with samples for us to see and pick out the carpet to be installed. The carpet installers were quick and completed the carpeting in 3 hours. Overall, we are very happy with the new basement and the additional usable space we have now in our home. I highly recommend Mike and his crew!
