They put in a system which leaked for almost a year then claimed they had bo responsibility for damage to crawlspace. Their insurance "expert" made all the decisions and denied the claim without ever coming to see damage or speaking to us. I found them to be very dishonest and elusive when pinned down. We will get another carrier as soon as we resolve the Court case I have filed for damages. When I lived here before this was a top notch business but I think the business took a dive when Dad retired.

Each time a serviceman came, they said the system was fine. It was just that some and quot;gunkand quot; had accumulated. They replaced a part and recommended that when the salt depleted, we should vacuum it out. The salt never depleted. They came out again, cleaned up gunk. Assured us again that the system was fine. Same problem. Called again. Same response. At least two more visits after that. When I finally asked if they would come and remove the water and salt and vacuum the system (as they had suggested,) they said okay. But when the serviceman arrived, he told me I would be charged $300-400 (woman who made the appointment never said a word about this) and it would be a waste because I should replace the system! Suddenly we needed a new system. (By now it's November.)
By the way, this company transferred over to the Culligan company a while back and no longer sells the Eco products. On the last visit, the technician told me that they would probably give a $500 discount on a new Culligan system. Also, he PROMISED to have Tom, the service manager call me the next day to discuss this. Never heard from Tom. The servicemen were nice, but ineffective.
We finally gave up and called someone else. Turns out that the Sharp service technician installed the wrong switch that wouldn't enable the system to actually turn on and do it's job.
Shame on this service manager. Not one word of resolution, encouragement, apology. Shame on us for giving them this much time to redeem themselves. Now I have to fight with them over the outstanding balance, which I have no intention of paying.

I had the check the unit I had as it quit using salt in the salt tank. I was told I had salt block and could break it up,which he did and changed the filter. I said I did not think the program was coming on and he held the button in and it came on. Everything seamed fine but I had to change the filter every month instead of 3 as I did in the past. So my son changed the filter every month I kept using the spade to beak up the salt block. 2 years later still not using the salt, running the whole house on the small filter, and I have to hold the button in every time I want the cycle to come on. I am a senior citizen and do not understand why it does not work. But I know I was given the illusion that it worked. I have decided to get a salt-less system as for two years I have not used salt. Looking for that system on Angie's list with a local dealer if available.

The results were explained to me so I understood what the issues were. I went with Jerry and Sharp Water because of the professional evaluation, the Eco Water equipment was Energy Star rated and the work was guaranteed.
