We ran into a problem with light getting out around the edges and, after posting about it here, our issue was pushed up the chain and all of our issues were handled professionally and without question. I can't fault one salesperson when the company ends up doing the right thing.
I would not hesitate to use them again.
The measurer came a few days later, measured the windows and left without comment. We assumed that was just a formality.
I then received a call from the salesperson explaining that all 4 windows had to be 1/2" longer than we had measured - going from 63" to 63 1/2" in each case. Also, for 2 of the windows that are treated as one because of the common headrail, the width had to be expanded from 66" to 67". Because of these changes, according to the salesperson, this put the blinds into the next size category resulting in an increase in price from $880 to $920. What choice did we have but to accept this change. A reasonable company would have stuck to their original price.
The installer did a great job. No problems there.
But now that we've had them a month, we question whether the extra half inch was necessary at all. In fact they all seem one slat too long. And the width change on the two with the common headrail makes the fit a little tighter than seems desired.
We will live with these as the product itself is acceptable and decent looking. But we were very disappointed that the salesperson quoted a price, took our down payment, and then came back with a price increase for a change to the measurements that is questionable.
My problem with the company is that in the several months we've owned the product, I have had to have them come out four times for repairs. Cords break (mild use) and the blind gets stuck. Another one fails to open/close. Next day blinds honors the warranty to repair the blinds, but it always involves a two or more week delay for scheduling. When we complain, we eventually get a manager to schedule the repair for only one week. Again, scheduling is a problem.
The repairmen do a good job. They work quickly, thoroughly and keep the house clean.
Scheduling is terrible.
Quality is disappointing -- four repairs needed in just a few month, materials not up to the job.
