Do not use this company. Our insurance company selected this company to repair our bathroom after a failure in the flooring caused water damage. The result is an uneven floor and bubbling paint within three months; two months after they were supposed to finish. The work was supposed to be finished by the end of March when I started a four-month deployment. They assured me that that was more than doable. When I started my deployment the demolition had not even finished in our 200 sq ft bathroom. This meant I was not home to monitor the work and it went downhill from there. They finally finished two months later and when I came home I found the entrance to the bathroom had been raised almost a full inch and was now that far above the bedroom carpet. We'll get used to that but it was very surprising given the old floor was level with the carpet. As I walked into the bathroom I noticed a very obvious slope from the door to about 3 feet into the bathroom. I put a level on it and there was a gap under the level of about a quarter inch and it was clearly not level. I also noticed that they had not put sealant around the mixing valve cover or the cover on the shower head. When I contacted the company they said they had to raise the floor to meet the toilet flange. Two things are a problem with that. First the sill of the bathroom door used to be even with the carpet; now it's an inch above. That seems clearly unnecessary. Second if you have to raise the floor you do that with subflooring across the entire bathroom. You do that ahead of time and make sure the tile is level. But I wasn't there to oversee the work and insurance had paid them. So I figured we'd just deal with it. Now a month later and the paint they put down is bubbling. Do not use this company!

Very confusing to deal with and I understand they had a lot of work to do due to recent floods. However they were supposed to clean the basement and I really see no evidence that they did that. While they were great with coming out with fans and dehumidifiers I paid 2400 and my basement is extremely dirty from the flood.

Remediation went pretty smoothly but the reconstruction was a nightmare. The project manager was some young kid who clearly had no idea how to project manage and in the end when they installed our carpet they used three different types that did not match????? In one room there was two different types of carpet that met in the middle! The installers explained that the project manager did not measure correctly and as a result they didn't have enough carpet so they thought it made sense to go out and buy carpet that was close to looking like the carpet we picked out?????? If you need water remediation I wouldn't say not to use them but never ever ever ever use them for reconstruction.
Description of Work: Basement flooded and need water and carpet removed and also hired them to do reconstruction work.

The details were not much more than, they were on time and cleaned up after themselves. The process took time, testing, cleaning, then testing.
Description of Work: We had mold growing in our family room in the basement. There was a pipe that leaked for some time before it broke and we noticed it. Then we saw not only the water damage but the mold. They were great making us feel comfortable that they could take care of it.

My husband and I have very tight schedules, so we worked with them on the days that one of us could be here for the work to be performed. I completed the contract, I mailed the 1/3rd down payment, my husband planned a month in advance to be here for them to start the job. A week before it was due to start, I got a call from the and quot;project managerand quot; giving me a different date. I called him back to advise that no, we were quite sure it was scheduled to start on 17 March. This was the ONLY week my husband could take off work. That should have been a clue that this was going to be trouble. On 17 March we didn't know what time they were due to arrive since no one ever called to confirm - but we had a contract and followed through on our end (they cashed the deposit check!) so we thought we were okay. It had snowed that day - but it wasn't horrible - I was able to drive out and I hate to drive in the snow. We waited for a while and then I called the project manager. I wanted to see what time to expect them so we could shovel the driveway and make it safe for the workers. The project manager snapped at me and told me that he had and quot;no idea what time they were coming!and quot; He wasn't planning to go into the office until after noon and he would call me later with a time that they may come (notice I say and quot;mayand quot; - he was not giving me any clear answers). He said that they would most likely have to shift the job a day due to the snow. I said okay, but I was upset since he was VERY rude to me and for no reason. We waited all day for him to call and he never did - after his tone with me earlier in the day, I was in no hurry to call him again. So, the next day my husband stayed home from work and waited. He started calling the project manager around 10 or 11 to find out when someone was coming. The project manager didn't call back - so my husband called the main number shortly after that. Someone finally called him back a few hours later (maybe the project manager - but my husband talked to that guys manager later in the day) to tell him that no one was coming and they had sent the crew to a different job. That was totally unacceptable. They knew the day before that no one was coming - but didn't have the decency to call us. At that point my husband said he wanted our deposit back. They just said okay. They never even attempted to make it right, apologize, or help in any way. I had to call them 5 times, send 5 e-mails AND threaten them with getting my lawyer involved in order to get our $806 deposit back. Even then there were just a million excuses. When you are wrong you should apologize - simple as that. They were wrong and treated us like chumps. I would never recommend this company to anyone and I'm filing a compliant with my insurance company as well in the hopes that they stop recommending this company. It was a very bad experience. It's now a month later and I still have a huge hole in my ceiling and my cabinets are sitting in the garage.
Description of Work: We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom and our ceiling fell in. Our insurance company recommended this company. We had them come out to survey the damage and do the water clean up and then we contracted with them to replace the ceiling and re-hang the cabinets they took down. That didn't happen...

We are very pleased with how it has been going. This was the first time our basement flooded -- a feeder valve came out of basement sink and cold water spewed out probably for days while we were out of town. Servicemaster by Singer employees were extremely knowledgeable, prompt, and, the best part, made us feel like the customer truly is king. They made a special effort to get out and get started on our house on July 3rd, before the holiday on the 4th, and stayed till midnight. The manager came out and got things started himself and was a reassuring presence for my husband as he more than competently addressed his questions and issues. Everything has been going so well with this repair process that I just had to get this review written, although the company certainly hasn't requested it. I just want others to know that these folks really go the extra mile and have many, many years of combined experience and expertise in taking care of water remediation and replacement.
Description of Work: The cost reflects our home insurance deductible. The providers came within a couple hours of our calling the insurance company and stayed till midnight that night taking out carpet and furnishings and stuff from the flooded basement we came home to that evening. They set up big dehumidifiers and just got the water remediation process going. They took out clothing and sent it to dry cleaners, took photos of everything that would need to be replaced, packed everything up and put in storage or bags left in our home (for materials like paint, etc. that couldn't go to storage).

I have a rental property located about one hour from our home. There was water damage to the carpet. After I arranged for the tenant to let in the technician, the technician went to the home timely. Because it was a rental, he would not enter the house without a signed contract from me. This was because their insurance required this. I was not about to travel two hours to sign a contract. I expressed my disappointment that, after researching and scheduling, I had to find another contractor, and I received an apology. The next contractor I contacted came and gave me an estimate without a signed contract in advance.

They did not disinfect one specific area. They did not clean up and take the debris with them. I am upset that they have not come back to finish what they have started.
Description of Work: They were suppose to come in and move, clean, and box everything up. They were supposed to cut behind the drywall and disinfect the entire area. They were also going to remove all the debris, rug, and padding.

Because it was an emergency, they responded fairly quicky. came within 2 hours. They examined the carpet condition and pulled out all carpet and baseboard for fear of moisture containing in it. They extract all surface water. Tested a few locations for mold problem and treated the area for potential mold growth. Two fans were left to work for 3 days. Because of rains in the next couple days, they extended it for two more days. The results were satisfactory. Although I feel the charge is a little high. I have no comparison since it was an emergency.

They got out the huge spill and it has never resurfaced as stains sometimes do on carpets even after they're cleaned. They was able to get the spot out permanently. They have great service and do excellent work.
Description of Work: My husband dismantled a ceiling fan and got oil all over our light colored carpet. I had Service Master out to clean the carpets.
