Kitchen and Bath Remodeling, General Remodeling
On the first day the demo man punctured the ceiling in several spots in the process of getting the project ready for reconstruction. The ceiling was replaced at the cost of the company but was not as nicely aligned the original. A marble door sill from the hallway into the bathroom was broken by the demo man while removing the marble floor with a crowbar. The 2nd floorboard that they installed was broken,, an obvious defect. They didn't break it but they had to remove it and reinstall a replacement board. The marble they replaced 3 times. The shower doors do not align properly and do not close properly. Ever joint and seam is caulked with silicone and not neatly at all. The spackling on new sheetrock is unacceptable. Paint has runs and is obviously thin at several spots.
I have invited the owner of Handy Hammer to come and look at the job after the last time his crew was here. He said he was working in the area and that he would stop by. This has been 3-4 weeks ago and as yet I haven't heard from or seen him.
I filed a complaint with Maryland Home Improvement Commission. Handy Hammer was notified. I am still waiting for finalization of this filing.
