I think they are very meticulous in their work and they respond to the customer really well. I thought they were pretty good. I think they are honest, but they are a little expensive.

Everything was on time and details were as per plan. Great communication.

Our experience with Z&P was great, we'd definitely recommend them.  After comparing 3 different contractors for our basement reno, Z&P's price was accurate for the project, and the most detailed with design documents and a price break down with the estimate.  We had no issues with the construction and any minor course corrections that occurred during the build were responded to quickly and effectively.  The team friendly and cleaned up each day, making the project almost no inconvenience.  They went a few days over schedule, but for the most part were right on the schedule they gave at the beginning of the project.  In the end, our basement looks fantastic, and we are very happy.

We received estimates from three or four different contractors. Z & P was not the absolute  cheapest, but its estimate was very close to the others, and it was far more detailed and complete than any of the competitor's bids. It included exact information on materials to be used and gave us a clear sense of everything that would be involved in the work. The other estimates were much more vague, and we had the sense they might easily go over the figures provided, while Z & P seemed both honest and precise. The estimate also came with clear and thorough drawings of the planned work in the kitchen. We had heard very good things about the company and when the owner, Eugene Zagoskin, said he guaranteed his work for 5 years, we were inclined to believe him.
We have been exceedingly happy with the result: Z & P did outstanding work in all aspects. Both of the bathrooms and the kitchen, as well as the door replacements and lighting, were finished on schedule, and all of the work is outstanding. Throughout the process, we were kept well informed of the work's progress, and when we had questions or requests, they were answered immediately.  Eugene worked with us carefully in selecting materials and cabinets, and he on several occasions advised us against work that would have increased his profit but which he honestly felt was not necessary.  Eugene also helped us as a designer by advising us on color and materials, including stone tiling for several of the rooms.
Eugene clearly takes great pride and satisfaction in his work;  one has the clear sense that seeing the job well done matters to him on a personal level.  He has been enormously helpful both during the renovations and after. In fact, the day after we moved into the apartment, we received a text message from him assuring us that he would be available at all times if we had questions or any problems with the work Z & P had done. The other Z & P employees were also extremely pleasant - reliable, cheerful, and ready to help with small additional requests  along the way.
In short, we found this firm outstanding - skillful, caring, professional, and enormously honest. We recommend them very enthusiastically.

Fantastic.  Started out with excellent drawings and specifications to scale.  Eugene went with us to tile stores and help select granite.  His greatest strength is in design.  Unlike other contractors I've worked with (like Realty Resurrections) he provides detailed design advice that always improves upon your original concept, including fixture placement, color, and material selection.  I would not hesitate to choose him again.
In fact, this is the third project he has done for us in 2 years.  He has also done a complete kitchen remodel, a 1/2 bath remodel, and a utility room remodel in a split level home that was originally built in 1958.  All projects were done to the highest quality.  To this day, people still compliment us on our modern kitchen and bathrooms.  We've entrusted him with >$80,000 in renovations in total and only regret that we did not choose him for our first full bath remodel.
PS: There was one afternoon where we thought we had a gas leak after he had placed a new gas line for the kitchen.  He came over immediately and verified that all the pressures were correct and no leak was present (likely residual from the placement).  He has always been responsive by email and phone throughout the project.  Highly recommended.

I was totally happy with his work, his prices, and the attention he paid to my project.  By the end he was almost part of my family!I am using him again for another remodel very soon.

He is on time and his estimates are right on.  He does high quality work and he is worth every penny we spent!  I have also referred him to my friends and family!
