The salesman I worked with (Joe Garcia) really knew what he was doing and he had great color and design skills. They helped me select tile for a bathroom remodel and get the right supplies for my contractor. When it turned out I didn't need an item, they refunded it without restocking fees. Great selection and guidance.

The quality of the selection was very good. It was a very large selection in one place so it provided a lot of choices. They have a lot of displays showing different ways to combine tiles and fixtures and accessories that were very helpful. They have a designer salesperson that was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in terms of putting together different kinds of combinations and making suggestions and essentially kinda guiding me through a process that was I was finding overwhelming. He was really outstanding. He made himself available and kinda went above and beyond. There were a couple of things where some tikes were broken and had to be reordered but it was not their fault because it was really fragile. For the most part, they were on time and on schedule. I think the price was fair for the quality. They were on special, too. Chris Borbon, the salesperson, was especially helpful.

There were problems from the beginning. When picking up the tile, I was given bullnose edge tile instead of a baseboard tile. I was told there was no exact match in baseboard to the tile I selected although the original salesman had represented that the two samples I had bought were an exact match. I selected a similar baseboard. When I opened the tile boxes at home, I found that the patterns of the tile looked nothing like the sample board or the sample I purchased. While I expected some variations, it did not look like the same tile. Even worse, the quality of the tile was poor and there was little or no quality assurance by the Tile Shop. There were holes in and through many of the tiles and edges were not cut well or broken. One whole box of 8 tiles was not usable. These were obviously a box of rejects that someone had returned, but, upon their return, no one in the store had checked to see if they were saleable. One tile in that box had a pencil mark on it, showing that someone had previously attempted to use it. The salesman who accepted the return did not appear to be too concerned and put the whole box in the back of the store. The lessons that I learned are, if you buy from the Tile Shop, order early and check each and every tile well before the scheduled installation. Order extra boxes. Even for a small job, the tiles and boxes are heavy and difficult to inspect. Return any tile that is defective, leaving time to get new tiles from the warehouse. However, this is no substitute for the job that the retailer should be doing in assuring the quality of its inventory.

We visited the Tile Center on two or three occasions to pick out tile our contractor would pick up and install. The store is a beautiful store with lots of tile to select from. However, on our first trip to the store, none of the sales people seemed to want to help us, despite the fact that some did not seem to be busy. We picked out tile for the bathroom floor and shower walls, and provided the stock numbers to our contractor. He purchased the tiles and installed them. For what ever reason, it seemed that he got two different batches from the Tile Center for the floor, which his installer did not notice at the time of the installation. We asked him to replace the tiles that did not match, which he did.
We returned to the store a second time to pick out tiles for a second bathroom. This time a store sales person was very helpful. She showed us which floor and wall and trim tiles matched. We again obtained the stock numbers and passed them to the contractor. The contractor ordered the tiles and on the day he was to pick them up, he learned that the store had not entered the order in time and it would be another week before they would be in. The contractor canceled the order and we selected tiles from another store. The second store was able to provide the tiles immediately.
The Tile Center has many, many tiles to choose from, but they leave it up to the customer and sales representative to come up with matching wall, floor, and trim matches. The second tile store had wall displays which recommended combinations of floor, wall, and trim tiles which made the selection process faster and easier.

The tile arrived on time and was exactly what I ordered.

We bought tile from the Tile Shop for three bathrooms and were very pleased with the quality of the tile and the service we received.

We ordered our tile from them on Friday, Aug. 28, 2010, and were told by our salesman that all the pieces would most likely be there within a week; however, he was going on vacation Thursday, Sep. 2. We called several times to be sure the order was there. We were told it was--except for 5 of the special "accent" pieces. When we attempted to pick up our order on Sep. 23, the manager told us that NONE of the 15 special pieces were at the store. All 15 pieces of special accent tile were missing! To add insult to injury, we were misinformed on several occasions thereafter about our missing tiles being shipped overnight, etc. On Monday, 9/27, our contractor arrived and installed our countertops, but had to reschedule our tiling job. Bottom line: We finally received all of the missing accents pieces by Thursday 9/30. It took an entire month to receive a tile order that we were led to believe would be at the shop within a week. This resulted in our kitchen being finished much later than planned.

We came in looking for tiles for bathroom tub area and floor and needed it fairly quickly as we had scheduled our work with tiles that were discontinued from another store. The sales person was really helpful and worked with us to find something that was available in stock at that time. He even worked past the closing time and helped calculate the number of tiles, plus all the supplies needed. We would go there again, for the displays that gives ideas of bathroom styles and design, and the help that they provided.

It was great. The people there are very helpful and have a huge selection of tile. We were even able to return unopened boxes for full credit.

We used the Rockville Tile Shop. On the plus side, they had a decent range of options, the salespeople were helpful, and delivery was professional. I am happy with the tile we got and would use them again. On the negative, I would have liked more tile options and the prices seemed high to me. But a good shop overall, and returns were easy!

They have a great selection of tile. The prices are reasonable however I waited a while before someone ask me if I needed help. Finally a helpful young man named Chris assisted me (ASK FOR HIM) he was very knowledgeable about the tiles and. Their showroom is very nice and offers great ideas on design. They also said the tiles will be there in 1 week but took a little longer, so it was a little difficult to schedule the installer.

Great! The staff let us browse the store and were there to help when we wanted it. They have a huge selection, which can be overwhelming. Fortunately, the store was well laid out with samples of much of the tiles in a room setting. We described what was going into the bathroom and what we were looking for and the staff helped us target our search to specific tile. We lucked out and the tile we picked was in house so we purchased it on the spot. If it wasn't there, they said that the tile could be delivered in 2 business days.

Excellent. Natalie Dade, helped me choose from a large selection of tile in the showroom. I was able to sign out a few boxes of tiles, so I could take them home and spread them out over a large area, to see how they would look in that space and lighting. She was very patient, as I struggled with decisions, natural slate or porcelain tile, and she gave me excellent advice. The tile installation was excellent, as well (see posting for Sina Tile).
