Description of Work: The estimate was astronomical and the salesperson stayed for 45 minutes after surveying our home for siding and windows. We have had other estimates and this was by far the highest by a $9,000 difference. The other sales people took half the time. This guy's "estimate" had only four things itemized on it: siding cost, labor, supplies, windows. There was no further detail or breakdown other then the total. We asked for more detail, but he avoided breaking it down more, which planted a seed of doubt for us. He did not write his full name and only he wrote an 800 number to call. What most upset us was that when we were politely trying to wrap things up for dinner, and he began a hard sell for at least 15 minutes telling us that if we didn't decide that day, we would change our minds because no one wants to pay for siding. It was very odd, and unprofessional. We tried thanking him again for coming and said we would follow up. He kept up his hard sell. I finally told him he needed to "leave and to leave now." I have never had to demand for someone to leave our house before.. I was glad my husband was there. It was surreal. We treat everyone with respect and will listen, but this felt like this was a guy who desperately needed a sale and would not leave until he got it. Needless to say, he didn't get our sale.

 + -1 moreThey did a fantastic job on my roof. They had all materials delivered and moved up onto my roof the day before (due to where my power and phone lines are, they couldn't raise and lower the pallets while doing the roof, so they took care of that the day before). The morning my roof was supposed to be installed, it was very windy. They knew I had taken off work for the day, so they called and asked if it would be okay if they started later, to let the wind die down a bit, rather than rescheduling. That was fine with me, and they got the roof done before dark. The walked around the yard with big magnets to get up all the nails. I asked them to take extra care with this since I have a young puppy, and they did a great job! They had to finish the wrap and cap the next day, because it had gotten dark, but that was because of the weather. They were back at 8am the next morning, and had it completed by 10am. They then went over the whole yard again, since they were afraid they may have missed some nails in the dark. I have yet to find a nail in the yard. From my estimate to the install, took 3 weeks, but a blizzard hit in between, so they had to delay a week, otherwise it would have been 2. They were more expensive than some other options, but my research showed they used much higher quality materials than a lot of other roofing contractors, and it comes with a 50 year non-prorated warranty. So worth the bit of extra cost, in my opinion.
Description of Work: Replaced my 18 year old roof and wrapped and capped the wood along the roof line.
