Description of Work: We were on an extended 24 day trip and they called us to make sure everything was alright for what they were doing for our dog. When we got our dog back, she was happy and healthy. The staff all told us how they wanted to keep her they liked so much!

Description of Work: They completed a wellness evaluation for our new puppy. The wellness visit was free since it was our first time. The money was for a year's worth of heartworm and flea & tick medicine. The tech and the vet were both very friendly and enthusiastic. We loved them!

Description of Work: Annual senior physical for my dog. I've seen two of their veterinarians, and interacted with several of the technicians. All are very friendly and knowledgeable. I've visited them several times in the past year and will keep going back.

Description of Work: Since finding Pet Dominion my dog has visited several times starting with Daycare, she was boarded for a weekend and has recieved 2 shots from the vetenary side. When we pull up to Pet dominion the excitement on her face is amazing, she truly loves it. I have nothing but good things to say!

Description of Work: Boarded my dog at Pet Dominion. The staff was friendly and took my anxiety away because they seemed to enjoy my dog as much as my family does. Pet Dominion provided food so no packing was required. They offered to shampoo my little guy before we picked him up. He was squeaky clean and happy upon return.

 + -1 moreThis was the first time I had used this provider, which I found through Angie's List. Overall, Pet Dominion was what I'd expected from a vet hospital. They did not exceed my expectations, neither did not disappoint. Positive: the vet doctor was pretty thorough and spent alot of time w/ us and our dog, although I suspect skin conditions is not her specialty. The staff was also very courteous and took the time to get to know my dog, who is a rescue and fearful of new situations. Negative: the whole appointment took *2* hrs. ALOT of waiting time and we had an appointment. Waited almost 30 mins for meds/check out process. Price was also average. I always leave vets wondering whether I'm being pushed too many unnecessary expenses.
Description of Work: I took my dog to this vet to diagnose a skin condition.

 + -1 more. They gave me a report card at the end about what my cat's stay was like, how he behaved. I have not seen the boarding facility. I did not have much occasion to make unusual demands or requests. I just checked the cat in and I came and fetched him. He was fine. I would use this facility in the future.

 + 0 moreDisappointing. But, now we know this vendor does not operate by the highest business standards. We have since found another kennel on Angie's List (our preferred Beechnut Kennels is full for late May), which does list prices on their website, and have made a reservation there.
Description of Work: This vendor has a website, but no prices are given thereon. We asked this vendor by email to tell us their rate for kenneling our 30-pound shepherd mix for a week in late May. This was their response: "Dear Don & Mabel Champagne, Thank you for your interest in our lodging services. If you have a daytime phone, I'd be happy to contact you with information on the exceptional care we provide at Pet Dominion. Also, you may tour our accommodations on site Monday - Friday, 12 noon to 4 pm, and on Saturdays 11 am - 3 pm, or by appointment. Looking forward to hearing from you. ~ Lisa V. Reservation Specialist Pet Dominion 301-258-0333" This is non-responsive. I know no good reason why a vendor will not quote prices in writing. The website of Beechnut Kennels, in Edgewater Maryland, with whom we have done business for 15 years (and have recommended be added to Angie's List) gives their rates clearly. So do other Kennels. We are left to assume Pet Dominion is, at best, pricey. I regard this refusal to give a straight answer to a simple question as unprofessional. We are also looking for a veterinarian near our new home in Montgomery County, Maryland. Pet Dominion also provides vet services. Given that they are non-responsive about their kenneling prices, we are left to again assume they are pricey for vet services as well. Some reports rank this vendor as "A" for price. Compared to what? I would trust numbers given in the report, but not a price rank without numbers.

Description of Work: We took our Dog Jasper to Pet Dominion originally for boarding due his multiple chronic medical problems. We had taken him elsewhere and had some very bad experiences. Not only did they manage him much better but were cheaper and much more flexible in what they were willing to try to do in case of emergency, etc. As a result we took Jasper to Dr Bassett at Pet Dominion for his regular veterinary care. At that point he was already very sick dog, but Dr Bassett was among the most thorough and knowledgable veterinarians we have ever encountered. He got us a great deal on some very expensive medicine, saw Jasper multiple times, and when the time came to make the final decision Dr Basset was calm, rational, and the only veterinarian we encountered who discouraged the most expensive and invasive options. I recommend him without and reservations whatsoever.

 + -1 moreI arrived early in the morning with a howling cat in a carrier. (She does not like going to the vet) We checked in and waited a few minutes until called into the exam room. When the vet came into the room she obvisouly cared about the cat's well-being and was not annoyed at the cat's behavior. She diagnosed the difficult feline and perscribed treatments for her while putting my mind at ease that it was not something worse than it was.
Description of Work: Our seven year old cat was constantly licking her stomach area. The Vet (Bethanny) made sure we ruled out any allergies first then injected her with a steriod which remedied the licking situation. She did say that this remedy should not continue and we need to work to find another path of treatment since continual steriod use is harmful for the cat but is willing to work with us to find a good treatment.

 + -1 moreI have been using this facility for 25 years. I have left a dog with serious medical conditions here for boarding and they have taken excellent care of her. They brought my other dog over to keep her company. The last time I took the two dogs in, they ran in and jumped on the guy that came to get them and happily went in with him. The dogs always return healthy and in good spirits. I have boarded them for 3-4 weeks at a time.

 + -1 moreMy cat was sick and eventaully had to be put to sleep; they did a preliminary diganosis and offered several options of service and were very supportive. We have been going there with our 3 (now 2) cats for 3 years and have been happy with the service- they are not cheap but reasonable and the care has been very good and service has been very professional among all the vets and staff there.

 + -1 moreWhen she stayed with them she was really really anxious. When she stayed with them she was digging and digging. She was so anxious her nails were bleeding. They put her in a different section of the kennel on the vet side where there were fewer dogs to cause less anxiety.

They are very convenient to my home and reasonably priced compared to other boarding facilities. I will use them again over the coming holidays.
