Scott was A+. Did a home inspection for us, and found that the switch on our sump pump was not working. He also looked at our house wiring. He made a number of reasonable recommendations, none of which involved spending $10K with a water proofing company.

Mr. Madison was prompt and reliable.  He was thorough, v-e-r-y thorough.  He found the source of a problem that many others had studied but couldn't figure out.  I was really impressed with that.  It made the fee worth every dollar.  Mr. Madison even followed up after his visit with a reference for another company.  Great job!  Dealing with him was a pleasure.

We had experienced water problems, from dampness on the floor of the second story to some seepage on the basement floor.  He did a through inspection and walked us through the ways water was getting inside, explaining all along the natural processes that allowed water to enter.  He eased our minds on the extent of the problem, explained what we could do to remedy it, and showed us how we could verify that our fixes were working without waiting for visible water to show up in living areas.  He kept us from spending many thousands of dollars on the well-advertised fixes (the first bid we had received was for about 1/4 the entire value of the house)  and we took his advice and have had no problems since.  We would recommend him without reservation. Although the company does not do actual waterproofing work, he needs to continue to be listed with waterproofing companies.  It was good to get advice from someone who didn't have a vested interest in selling us an expensive fix for the problems.  He can, if needed,  recommend companies he has experience with and even offered to help us in wording a contract if we had decided to hire a contractor to do the work.  He was a thorough professional, answering all our questions, even when they were not directly related to the issue at hand and was extremely helpful throughout.  We would not have found him if he weren't listed under Waterproofing and we would have ended up paying many times as much and might not have had as good a result.

Scott may seem somewhat more expensive than some others, but he?s well worth it. We hired him to evaluate the water leakage in our basement to see if there were some less drastic solution than a French drain (it turned out there wasn?t). Scott took several hours to check our yard, test our drainage and thoroughly explain our options. (A structural engineer we had previously hired spent about a half hour.) Even better was his follow-up, which he included as part of his service at no further cost ? we had several phone conversations as I spoke with contractors, he reviewed and commented on their written bids (and warned me away from one that he thought was more than we needed ? he?s clearly independent), and he even came by during the project to be sure it was being done properly. So the results of working with Scott were gaining confidence that the solution to our problem was worth the considerable expense and inconvenience, having valuable on-going support in an area about which I knew very little, and being assured that our work was done well. Clearly, Scott cares about what he does and provides his customers with excellent value. Highly recommended!
