Javier was quite responsive, fitting in his work around the schedule of the other contractors doing the renovations.  He installed everything according to his original drawings quickly and cleanly, and was very easy to work with.  I will use him again in the future.

JC Closets was quick to respond on my initial contact.  Javier came by to look at my closets, took measurements and asked for clarity on what I wanted.  He sent drawings and an estimate by email within a couple of days.  His quote was competitive and his reviews were favorable.  My husband and I are extremely satisified with the work which was completed on the agreed upon date.  The project was handled efficiently and professionally.

Javier re-organized four of my closets. The downside is that his English is not very good and communication was difficult at times. However, the upside is that he has an architecture background and is quite creative with the possible reconfigurations he can provide (shelves for shoes and sweaters, hanging areas for coats and pants,) He works quickly and will provide you sketches of what changes he recommends. He is also quite reasonable in his pricing. If I had other closets to do, I certainly would use him again.

On the positive side, this was the only reasonable design that we got for our awkwardly-shaped closet space. This design maximized the storage. However, the workmanship was shoddy. They fixed a few things resentfully. After the job was completed, I had to take most of it down to re-plaster and paint. It took me about two weeks to fix the walls, and to get the particle-board support system put in with 90 degree angles instead of crooked. There was also some misunderstanding about the number of baskets that should have been delivered that was never straightened out -- the company stopped returning phone calls. I would advise others considering using them to keep a really close eye on them while they're working -- which means you need to stay home the whole time. Make them fix problems and sloppy work on the spot, and don't pay attention to the eye-rolling that may ensue. Don't trust that they know what they're doing -- if something doesn't look right to you, it probably isn't. Get them to spell out everything that will be included and done very clearly on the estimate, and realize that once you pay them you may never hear from them again if there are outstanding issues.
