I think they are very personable. Every time I go, Mike himself talks to me about what's wrong with the car and he will even take me on the test drive with him and sort of explain things. It's very easy to work with them and their cost is pretty good compared to the dealer.

Great - Mike was a pleasure to work with. The install was quick and has made a huge difference in performance of the vehicle ! Mike found a number of other important repairs that I had been trying to get my regular mechanic to take care of for a couple of years. This is an old vehicle that I am trying to bring back to life. I think Mike's shop is a little pricey but IT IS WORTH IT!! You get what you pay and in this case you get a mechanic who cares about your project! Like most mechanics, Mike is a bit slow on email responses sometimes, but what the heck just give them a call!!

Iron Mike's is that hidden garage find that you have always been looking for. Communicative. Pride in workmanship. Mad skills. I own a 1938 Ford panel van with a custom frame and stroked 351 Windsor engine. Believe it or not I cracked a piston driving to New Jersey, so all in all this wasn't your average job. Iron Mike diagnosed the problem, disassembled the engine to verify the diagnosis and recommended a great engine rebuilder to boot. This car is almost completely custom built, so there are very few stock items on the car. Mike disassembled the entire from end to get the engine out. Then installed the new rebuilt engine and put everything back together. We discovered that some of the rear blinkers hadn't been properly wired, so Mike rewired the tail lights so they would work the way they should. (The brake had been over riding the blinkers which I considered a safety hazard.) I'd also been chasing a voltage drop. Which Mike had suggesting upgrading to a higher output alternator. We couldn't find the right part, so he actually took one of the new alternators and swapped the internals into my existing alternator case so it would mount back into my car. It's always a rare find when a mechanic is so skilled in electrical components. This got me back on the road weeks earlier. The rebuilt engine drives like a dream. This was a big job and I couldn't be happier with the result. I'll be back to Iron Mike's when I have future issues that I cannot handle myself.

Iron Mike's Garage replaced my alternator, rear rotors, and break pads.  He charged me a fair price and went above and beyond as far as customer service.  His staff looked at multiple vendors to find me the best price on parts and only replaced the things that were worn out.  He even drove me to the metro so I could get home.  He is a professional, fair, and honest mechanic.  They are a rare breed.  I highly recommend Iron Mike's Garage.   

Nowadays, it is really hard to find a mechanic that is skillful, honest, and reasonably priced. I am glad to see Mike is such a mechanic. I brought my Mustang to his shop to diagnose a differential noise issue. This is an issue that several mechanics had no clue. Mike quickly isolated the source of the problem and fixed it for me at a price that was very reasonable. I ended up saving a ton of money by not having to replace a lot of parts.

I think Mike works on all types of cars. What amazes me is that his knowledge and expertise on sports cars is a lot better than many so-called sports shops.

From the moment you walk in to Iron Mike's you just now you're in good hands. Deb runs the front of the shop cheerfully and professionally. There's usually doughnuts or some other goodies on the front counter. Trooper is the company mascot and is always there with a friendly tail wag and a sniff. Ilya and Rudy turn the daily wrenches with competence and skill. They're always happy to show you exactly what's going on with your ride. Then there's Iron Mike himself. This guy must be a very "Old Soul". He has more automotive knowledge stuffed into his head than I can fathom. He knows factoids about arcane automotive trivia that are just mind boggling. If you want to know how many valve cover hold down bolts there are on a '49 Humbley Pudge Turnpike Cruiser he can tell you right off of the top of his head.As well as performing regular maintenance and repairs on daily drivers Mike also is truly talented at restoration of classic cars and hot rods. There's always some cool cars over on the B side of the shop. Above all else Mike and the gang have integrity to spare. They are honest and straightforward and always go above and beyond with customer service. I'm truly impressed and that's a rare thing for me.
