Hk Cabinet

We purchased a new house and decided to remodel the kitchen. We measured the kitchen on 11/01/2013 and go to HK cabinet 1st time on that Sat. The manager, Chan just spend about 45 minutes to design a kitchen for us. Compared to him, Home Depot and Lowe's let me wait about 1 week to get their design. On the other hand, HK cabinet did not have too many style. I think there were 11 or 12 styles. Chan also told us some tips to measure the kitchen, he asked us to double check the measurement as the company only sell cabinets without install it. HK cabinet uses plywood for cabinet box while Home depot and Lowe's use compressed board for it. The cost of our small kitchen(10'*12'), L Shape with a 60'*24' peninsula, was about $4000+tax. The estimations from Home Depot and Lowe's were $6500-$7500 even with discount... Additionally, the HK cabinet had all the doors and drawers with soft close, but HD & Lowes would charge me more for that feature. HK cabinet took about 2 weeks to produce my new kitchen while HD & Lowes asked me to prepare to live 4-6 weeks without kitchen. We went back to HK cabinet on 11/16/2013 with our new measurement and Chan modified some place based on our new measurement and ideas. Two weeks later, they delivered the cabinets to our garage. (They do out of door delivery). The new kitchen is so far so good. We think HK cabinet provide good quality products with reasonable price.
