Hanes on Homes

He re-screened in my porch and I will be having him replace the hardwood floors in my house. I have used him for over 20 years and he is a really nice guy. He also put in an 800 square foot addition to my colonial house; it is an in-law suit that is fully equipped.

From start to finish, Chris Hanes was customer-service oriented.  He not only did the remodel but helped with design.  He went the extra mile by helping me find the cheapest place to order fixtures (faucetdirect.com), as well as design elements like suggesting a wall-mounted vanity that would work best in the space I have.  He knew that I really wanted a 4-fixture bathroom, and came up with pretty much the only design that would work in my space. I don?t think anyone else could have come up with a design to incorporate what I wanted with the space I have.  He made multiple visits during the design phase and ran by all the possibilities there could be, before we came up with the final design and estimate.  He made sure I understood everything completely at all times and returned my calls & e-mails promptly.
Chris was always timely, friendly, and focused on my needs and satisfaction.  He also was great with my dog with is something you don?t think about as being an added positive quality of a contractor! He is great with tilework and at finding creative solutions for various situations that come up.  For example, I had a beautiful marble threshold installed that went underneath my door frame.  There was an extra piece from it that Chris turned into a shelf in my shower?s wall niche.  This way it wouldn?t crack over time like a tile shelf would when subjected to the normal stresses of use.  I also had several fixtures that had somewhat atypical installation requirements, which Chris was not afraid to tackle.
Chris is a talented professional able to transform a dumpy old bathroom into an oasis.  He has a great personality, flexibility, and attention to detail.  I would definitely choose his company in the future and would recommend him for your future remodel.

FANTASTIC!! Hanes on Homes made our kitchen look ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! My husband and I have bit by bit, fixed up our 1965 rambler to make it the modern day dream that we had visioned. The only ugly duckling was our extremely outdated kitchen. When it was finally time to take the plunge, we went straight to Hanes on Homes. We have used Hanes on Homes for other updates to our home and were always very happy with the professionalism and attention to detail. When the Chris came out to take a look at what this job would entail, he answered every question in depth and made sure my husband and I felt 100% comfortable with the timeline, layout and price. When the job was complete, we didn't recognize our home!!! The job was more than what we had envisioned; open, modern, chic and classy. Our home is finally complete all thanks to Hanes on Homes. I've talked to my friends, family and co-workers about absolutely using Hanes on Homes for any remodel/home project they may have...and I would definitely DEFINITELY advise anyone to give Hanes on Homes a call too!

Over 2 days Chris power washed and then sealed my deck. He did a beautiful job. The deck was very dried out and took a lot more sealant than expected, but the price was very reasonable, it took a while to schedule the job, due to weather and his other jobs, but I'm very happy with the results.

Chris gave me an estimate, told me what it would cover.I was pleased.He came and did the job over three days.Very neat and clean as far as cleaning up after wards.

Chris is helpful and attentive. He helped me know how to address the problems with the waterproof. His men did good work. Chris supervised them well and cleaned up after. His willingness to tackle many small problems in addition to the main is especially helpful.

From our initial consultation with Chris Hanes through our final walk-thru with him, we were very impressed by his professionalism and responsiveness. The vision and experience that Chris brought to the table helped us through design decisions that we had previously been unable to envision and prevented us from renovating our 73-year old colonial home. He spent considerable time with us to understand our needs and discuss a variety of solutions with pros and cons of each.

This major remodel took 9 weeks to complete. It started by removing our old kitchen cabinets, appliances, plumbing, plaster walls, Heating/AC ducts and electrical outlets. Additionally, we enlarged the opening in a load bearing wall which required the installation of a structural beam. The crew from Abstract was professional and respectful of our property, and took great care to ensure that the work area was cleaned each day before they left.

By creating our new kitchen space in what had been our dining room, plumbing was routed from one side of the house to the other, new electrical outlets and recessed lighting were installed throughout the first floor, and the hardwood floors were patched in several areas. Our new powder room was created in what had been our coat closet, which required new plumbing, electric and exhaust fan installation.

Chris was flexible and patient with us and his employees were great! We are very happy with quality of work performed, and the short period of time it took for our home to be transformed into a new and modern space!
