I shopped around looking for a moving company to move from the Mid-Atlantic to Florida, never having used a moving company before. After determining Great Nation Moving company would do this for us, I still worried. This move couldn't have gone any smoother. I was able to contact the owner, having been given his cellphone number. It was reassuring. Four guys came to the house on Sunday, packed and loaded our furnishings. I was told I should be able to receive our stuff by the end of the week. I contacted them when I arrived in Florida and they said delivery would be Friday. Two guys came, unloaded, unpacked and quickly considering it was just two of them. All the guys who packed at both ends were nice, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend this company. I do plan to use them to assist with storage relocation for my employer back in DC.

They were on time, very professional, and reasonable priced. They did an awesome job wrapping things up and moving me during a significant rain storm. It is probably my own fault for not doing more research. We have not done a long-distance move in about 17 years so I should have put more thought into it. They did not do an in home assessment of the items to move and I did my best to accurately provide the details. The final to total was over $800 more than the estimate. It was also hard to plan because we did not get a specific day/time until 48 hours before the move. I would have preferred to have that identified from the beginning and also would have liked a closer estimate to the actual cost.

Movers were right on time, extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled, and lightning quick in their work. It was by far the best experience we have had with movers and we are already recommending this company to our friends.

The service was AWESOME. A last minute move due to the cancellation of a previous company was made to be seamless. The movers were ontime, professional, careful and very focused on providing great service. I aim to hire them over and over again.

They did an excellent job on a very difficult project - moving a heavy desk down a twisting staircase. They had to carry it while being careful not to damage the walls, artwork and bannister. I would use them again.

This company provides a great rate and communicated. They were friendly and prompt. My husband was hesitant to hire a moving company because of costs. Afterwards he said it was s great decision. I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

I would recommend Great Nation Moving to anyone intending to move and working on a budget. From a personal experience, these guys are the best the market can offer. My experience with them was positive right from when I first contacted them asking for a quote for moving my house stuff. There were no hidden costs and the customer assistant was so open to any further queries. This made me feel needed as a client and more assured that I was dealing with the right company.

I want to begin with the good: Guys who loaded the truck were friendly and did an amazing job wrapping and loading furniture. Also, Great Nation did provide the best price for a cross country move! Communication about how the move would be handled was not clear and somewhat deceptive! My first contact was with a guy who's job was to sell the move. I was clear that I was looking for a company who would load my things alone in a box truck, Not semi truck and drive directly from TN to NM without adding other peoples things and without transfer of my items. I was very clear on what I was looking for and he assured me that is how they would do it. I was given a pick up date with the following date as a back up date. And was told it would take a week to transport. Pick up date came and went as well as the backup. They did arrive on the 3rd day and did do an amazing job loading. I had asked my salesman who I should pay, he told me the movers would give me several options. (I had paid my deposit with a credit card, so assumed that would work).. On pick up, the mover said I needed to call David, the scheduler about payment. I also asked the mover if he would be driving my things to NM. He told me no, they would be transported to the warehouse in MD until a later time when they would be loaded on a semi truck ( with other peoples things)... I called my original contact, salesman, Robert and asked him if I could pay with a credit card since he had taken my card for the deposit and I asked him about my things being transported to warehouse and then by Semi, since I had been very specific. He told me that he forgot that they do change over and ship with other folks things when going longer distances, and that he doesnt know anything about payment, just booking.... I called the scheduler David to ask about payment and he told me only cash or Money order. I told him it would have been nice for someone to inform me of that before the movers were here and I couldnt leave to go get cash or money order... He responded, **you should have read the fine print**. I then went and read the fine print and it did not say cash or money order only. I called the main office and informed the lady that I was told you did nt take credit card and she asked me who had told me that.... She then said it was up to the scheduler. It would not have been a problem if I had been informed before the movers arrived. I was given a 3 week window for delivery. I contacted Scheduler David after 2 1/2 weeks of not hearing any update on delivery.... He informed me that They had by law 23 days to deliver... I told him I just needed a date so that I could make sure someone was there to receive delivery and that I would have the final payment ready in **cash or money order**... Needless to say, lack of communication on what to expect added a great deal of stress... our things did arrive in good shape after 3 weeks of waiting and wondering. Only 1 person has the knowledge of how your move will be handled, so what the sales guy tells you is not necessarily true ( he will conveniently forget things that may make you go elsewhere)... It is a very good price, but you must be very patient and flexible on pick up and delivery time... Not sure I would recommend unless you are very flexible ...

These guys worked tirelessly in what turned out to be a more complex move than any of us thought. They stayed positive, professional, and safeguarded our things with better care than any moving company we've used to date. I only wish I'd have found them sooner! I am not easy to impress because I am a perfectionist. But the movers from Great Nation Moving did the impossible. They impressed me like anything. I tried a lot but I couldnâ t fault them at all. The rep was coordinating the entire process. The moving team arrived on time with his helpers. Nothing was damaged or dented, not even a spot on anything. They displayed the best use of skill and experience. I am recommending this company to everyone for all kind of moving services.

I have moved commercially numerous times using large commercial movers. Great Nation Moving far exceeded my expectations from beginning to end. It started with the estimate where timely adjustments were made as we removed items from the quote, then the crew showed up to pack us timely & with more help than anticipated, then the delivery was on time too! Biggest plus was that there was no damage to any of my walls in either house & nothing got broken! They were GREAT!!
